The Taj Ganj urban redevelopment footprint spans the incremental growth of the contemporaneous neighbourhood of the Taj Mahal and marks a significant landmark in its tourist mapping… ? Agra’s Taj Ganj exhibits urban decay yet holds immeasurable vibrancy. A highly dense fabric, crumbling infrastructure and acute lack of open spaces are juxtaposed with the richness of cultural life, socio-economic ingenuity and a built environment expressing almost amusing resourcefulness. 434. Random Anime of the Week: Attack on Titan
February 03, 2016

Plot / Story There is a lot of hype surrounding Attack on Titan. Lots of people praise it for being a spectacular anime. On a lot of levels it is, there is plenty of action, suspense, and drama. The animation is pretty good, which always is a plus, and the characters aren't too bad. The only real problem I have with the anime is the way they did the story. It's completely clouded in mystery, you learn things that don't make sense because you don't know what happened before that happened. It's like learning steps 1 and 3, but not knowing how 2 went. Sure, you figure out what 3 is all about... (read more)

Sanjay Puri in his trademark sculptural style has designed a single-storey office in Surat, Gujarat, which is wrapped in a steel frame structure - with a metal roof and Corten steel sheets for external walls… The most challenging aspect of the project was that it had to be completed within four months, which Sanjay Puri Architects accomplished with aplomb. Situated on a tiny site abutting a road junction, the curvilinear volumes congregate to augment the half-moon curvature of the built form. In a location, where temperatures are in excess of 35°C for eight months of the year and th... (read more)

438. How Andre Gray Killed the MP3 Music Player
February 01, 2016

Unless you have been living under a rock since the first iPhone was released in 2007, the mobile phone (with its built-in MP3 music player) has killed the iPod and all other MP3 players in every country around the world. Indeed. With must have electronic devices costing a nifty premium and successive updated new generational models of those devices being introduced each year, it simply doesn’t make any sense for consumers to spend a lot of money on all their wants or got-to-have electronic toys. A reasonable compromise for everyone was to simply get a cool looking mobile phone with a pre-inst... (read more)
