In organic chemistry, compounds composed of carbon and hydrogen are divided into two classes aromatic compounds, which contain benzene rings or similar rings of atoms, and aliphatic compounds (G. aleiphar, fat, oil), which do not contain aromatic rings. [1]In aliphatic compounds, carbon atoms can be joined together in straight chains, branched chains, or non-aromatic rings (in which case they are called alicyclic). They can be joined by single bonds (alkanes), double bonds (alkenes), or triple bonds (alkynes). Besides hydrogen, other elements can be bound to the carbon chain, the most common being oxygen, nitrogen, sulfur, and chlorine. The simplest aliphatic compound is methane (CH4). Aliphatics include alkanes such as fatty acids and paraffin hydrocarbons, alkenes (such as ethylene) and alkynes (such as acetylene). Most aliphatic compounds are flammable, allowing the use of hydrocarbons as fuel, such as methane in Bunsen burners, and acetylene in welding.

1. C5 aliphatic hydrocarbon resin
August 15, 2008
C5 Hydrocarbon Resin solution is an aliphatic, low molecular weight, liquid resin. Derived mainly from olefin monomers of petroleum origin, this pale neutral resin is characterized by its resistance to moisture, good heat and light stability, and excellent balance of tack and adhesive properties. It is stabilized with 0.1 % antioxidant. C5 Aliphatic hydrocarbon resins are a very diverse family of resins. They have somewhat limited compatabilities which can be harnessed as set improvers and in economically sensitive applications. C5 Hydrocarbon Resin are mainly used in pressure sensitive adhe... 3. Natural Vitamin E
March 01, 2006
Vitamin E is part of a family of eight compounds, tocopherols and tocotreinols with their variants, alpha, beta, gamma and delta. These compounds have a basic chromanol ring (chroman ring with an alcoholic hydroxyl group) and a 12-carbon aliphatic side chain containing methyl groups. These structures can be modified spatially, and this property of organic compounds to have different structures but same composition is called isomerism.Alpha-tocopherol has two isomers, d-alpha and l-alpha, the structures like that of the two hands, hence the letters "d" and "l", meaning dextro (right in Greek) a...
