2. Holistic Health Tip #1
September 03, 2006

Based on the seven keys to holistic health explained in my book, “Forget The Cures, Find The Cause,” the easiest health tip to start with is water. Most of us know our drinking water, be it from the city or from a well, is full of heavy metals and more than 700 carcinogenic or dangerous chemicals. Bottled water from the grocery store is safer to drink, but still contains chlorine by-products which are proven to be more dangerous than deadly chlorine. Distilled water is essentially dead water and reverse osmosis not only wastes water, but doesn’t allow for natural mineral balance that our bod... (read more)

3. Chuck Berry...Rock and Roll Survivor
September 01, 2006

If one can lay a tag on this former St. Louis hairdresser, perhaps the word ‘Survivor’ will fit. Chuck Berry is without a doubt a man who has wandered an incredible path since breaking on the music scene with ‘Maybelline’ in 1955. Berry acquired the nickname ‘America’s Teenage Storyteller’ with his relevant lyrics, catchy rhythms and almost playful vocal deliveries while racking up hit after hit in the 50’s. Then it all came to a screeching halt. Berry was convicted on a morals charge in 1960 of violating the Mann Act by transporting an underage girl across state lines to work in one of h... (read more)

4. Mel Gibson...Another Hollywood Cop-Out
September 01, 2006

Well, well, poor Mel Gibson. Went out to have a few drinks and winds up with his pretty face all over the news. Seems he made an a... of himself. Most of us have been there, and I can't condemn him for that. What does bother me is how he comes out afterwards pleading and begging for forgiveness about remarks he made while he was 'drunk'. Well, you know what they say, a person always speaks the truth when they're drinking, it's the original truth serum. While his remarks no doubt bother a lot of people, what bothers me is how he's acting like a child caught with his hand in the cookie jar.... (read more)

5. New CD and DVD Technology - Blu-Ray and HD-DVD
August 31, 2006

The compact disc has been around since 1978, developed by Phillips and Sony. The reason it was developed was to take over for the Laserdisc as the industry standard digital audio disc. Since its invention, we have seen many updates on the compact disc technology. The most recent being the CD-R and DVD discs. With the CD-R, you can now burn your own discs at home, and then modify those discs at a later date. DVD technology allows us to record video onto a disc, where we used to only be able to record audio and data. As time rolls by, and the disc industry advances, we are presented with new for...
