"Do You Know Where You're Going to?" (Do you like the things that life is showing you?) by Diana Ross was the graduation theme of my Springfield High School class of '78 (Holland, Ohio). It reminds me of those sayings like "If you don't know where you're going, you don't need a map to get there" and "Man cannot discover new worlds until he's ready to lose sight of the shore" - or something like that. I have the quotes around here somewhere. I really like "Courage is not the absence of fear but the mastery of it" - especially when you're off hitch-hiking thru Europe or South Africa or... I recently came to a decision that I must have my blog for the articles that I submit to directories. I was thinking about the bloggers and some how concluded that bloggers are little different to regular visitors to websites. I wanted the bloggers to read my articles. Secondly I was wondering about what value the search engines give to a back link from a article directory compared to a blog. So I decided to try and find out. Many of us remember the oil shortages of the late seventies. They caused more than just the inconvenience of occasional gasoline rationing. Several elderly people actually died in the New York City area because of a lack of heating oil. Some people thought it would only get worse, and we would run out of oil completely before long.
