1. Compensation for Writing Articles
August 07, 2007

Many article submission site do not offer a separate resource box for you to fill out. I am not sure why they do this, but a number of sites use this format. Unfortunately, many writers will just shrug their shoulders and submit their article. I’m sure this is the case because a large number of articles that I see from those sites do not include any links from the authors. That is a shame because the article is written to benefit the site and it’s readers, while the resource box is written to benefit the author. The links in the resource box represent the author’s compensation. When a wri... (read more)

2. Maximizing Clicks in your Resource Box
August 06, 2007

Building article directories is all the rage now. Practically every time I submit an article I get a pop-up asking me if I’d like to build an article directory like the one I’m visiting. But I have no interest in that. I like to write and submit articles. Is article marketing just a phase? I don’t think so, look at where television was just 50 years ago and see how it has grown. The Internet is the television of future. Millions of people worldwide are entertained and informed by it every day. And one thing that is an absolute necessity for the Internet to continue growing is the need for... (read more)

3. Writing Articles using New Techniques
August 06, 2007

I still try to keep current with new techniques and products. I think it is important because some the things that worked well two years ago are not working at all now. And you never know, I may stumble onto something useful. Rest assured, if that happens, I’ll be sure to pass along some of the gems to you. Because I make my living by writing articles, I do a lot of research in the area. If you read a number of my articles, you know that I don’t do many testimonials. In fact, this may be my first. Recently, I looked into a product that I heard a lot about. It’s called Secret Article Profi... (read more)

4. Write Articles for Cash - The Details
August 05, 2007

It seems like it would be a simple matter. Write an article of two and then sit back and wait for the cash to roll in. Like they say, LOL. In reality, there are a lot of details to take care of. And if you really want to be successful writing articles for income, you need to focus on these details. 1. First and foremost, you need to have a list of products that you like and can recommend. It doesn’t matter if they are your own or affiliate items. For each of these products, you will need the web page where the item is available using plain text (http://blah blah blah) and the page listin... (read more)

5. The Secret to Article Success
August 04, 2007

I am frequently asked what’s the one secret to achieving success in marketing articles for income. In a word…Write. In another word…Submit. That’s pretty much it. Of course there are some details that you need along the way: a proper Resource Box, a great title, and a few other details. But, for the mot part, you need to write and submit. On days when I’m very busy, I’ll write just one or two articles and I’ll submit them to my entire list of article submission sites, about 150. On days when I have more time, I write four to five articles and submit to a list of about forty sites. On my ... (read more)

6. 5 Secrets to Generate Clicks with your Articles
August 04, 2007

When writing an article, always have your reader in mind. Look at your article with a critical eye and think how your reader would interpret it. Don’t think of it as an article, think of it as a sales piece. Before writing an article, write down your goals for the article. Do you merely want to provide information and let people know you are knowledgeable in the field? Do you want to generate web traffic or would you prefer it if readers click on your links? It is imperative that you develop a goal for each article you write. 1. If your goal is to entice the viewer to click on your l... (read more)

7. Simple Steps to Powerful Writing
August 03, 2007

Your success in today's world is directly tied to your ability to communicate. If you cannot write effectively you will not succeed. This is true in academics, business and your personal life. The following proven steps will make your writing vibrant and make you a more effective communicator. 1. Use the active voice. The active voice is the most powerful way to express an idea. The passive voice lacks the power and clarity of the active voice. Sentences that are structured as "subject, verb, object" focus the reader's attention and cogently convey your message. 2. Use act... (read more)

8. Pre-Planning: The Key to Success in Writing Cutting Edge Fiction
August 03, 2007

Pre-Planning: The Key to Success in Writing Cutting Edge FictionOver the years of writing reams of fiction and non-fiction I have collected more than a few valuable wrinkles: finding ideas, researching, sequential framing, compiling gilt-edge proposals, empowering text with bestselling potential, and most important of all: getting published. This aggregated nous has resulted in 30 traditionally published works that sell offline and online in ever-increasing volume.Just recently I took a quantum leap forward and produced seven unique software titles for personal use in conserving time and energ... 9. Secrets to Earning Income with Your Existing Articles
July 22, 2007

Many people write articles to increase traffic to their website. But those published articles are useful in another way, too. They can be used to generate additional income. As an added benefit, these articles can generate that income for as long as the article is available. In some cases, it can be a very long time. I have seen some articles that were published 2 years ago and are still getting page views today. That’s a very nice long-term annuity. Here are some techniques to help you start that income machine. 1) Create an extra revenue stream with your website's articles or content. A... (read more)

10. Target Your Article to Maximize Income
July 17, 2007

One reason many people fail to generate substantial income writing articles is that they fail to properly target their article. Each article you write should be targeted to several critical areas. First and foremost, it is essential that your article have a large potential audience. An article entitled How to Survive the Antarctic Winter may be a work of art, but no one will see it because very few people are searching for that information. You can check on the number of searches for a particular subject by doing a keyword search on the words in your title. You can accomplish this by doing a s... (read more)

11. 3 Easy Steps to a Million Dollar Title
July 09, 2007

The title is, without a doubt, the single most important part of your article. If you write a million dollar article, and add a crappy title, you wind up with a great article that no one will see. And, in the article marketing business, readers and page views are the only things that really matter. With every article that I write, my goals are the same: 1) Provide a quality product that people will want to read. 2) Offer a desirable item/download that people will want to click. In order to achieve these two goals, the article must have a great title. The title is the packaging ... (read more)

12. Taking on the Mantle of Your Fictional Characters
July 05, 2007

To take on the mantle of your characters is to be at the very hub of cutting edge fiction. You invent these skeletal entities, add flesh to the bones; give them names, commission them to act out a part, bestow on them a distinct personality. Now you must live with each of them for a time before you write your story. You must converse, eat and sleep with them; you must infiltrate the inner recesses of their psyche; you must discover how they react to situations and stimuli.Next you will turn your attention to their unique attributes; how they look, dress, walk and talk. o Which of them is shy a...
