The State of Arizona ( IPA /?ær?'zo?n?, ?er?-/) is a state located in the southwestern region of the United States. The capital and largest city is Phoenix. The second largest city is Tucson, followed by the four Phoenix-area conurbation cities of Mesa, Chandler, Glendale, and Scottsdale. [4]Arizona was the 48th and last of the contiguous states admitted to the Union on February 14, 1912.[5] Arizona is noted for its desert climate, exceptionally hot summers, and mild winters, but the high country in the north features pine forests and mountain ranges with cooler weather than the lower deserts. New population figures for the year ending July 1, 2006 indicate that Arizona was at that time the fastest growing state in the United States, exceeding the growth of the previous leader, Nevada. Arizona is one of the Four Corners states. It borders New Mexico, Utah, Nevada, California, touches Colorado, and has a 389-mile (626&_160;km) international border with the states of Sonora and Baja California in Mexico. In addition to the Grand Canyon, many other national forests, parks, monuments, and Indian reservations are located in the state. Arizona is located in the Western United States as one of the Four Corners states. Arizona is the sixth largest state in area, after New Mexico and before Nevada. Of the state's 118,000&_160;square miles (306,000&_160;km2), approximately 15% is privately owned. The remaining area is public forest and park land, recreation areas and Native American reservations.

1. Buying cheap houses is not always an investment in Phoenix bank foreclosures
September 05, 2008
Phoenix bank foreclosures are a true reflection of the mortgage crisis currently engulfing the United States. Arizona is the fourth hardest-hit state in the country, and there were 2,010 Phoenix bank foreclosures filed by the end of July 2008. Market values in the Phoenix real estate sector are at an all-time low, and yet not a lot seem to be taking advantage of this fact. As thus, it has become common in Phoenix neighborhoods to see foreclosed properties neglected and becoming eyesores in the neighborhood.
An astute real estate investor who specializes in foreclosures ought to see the... (read more)

4. Phoenix Showing Solid Sales Activity In August
September 02, 2008
The Phoenix housing market showed solid sales activity for August. The overall per month sales trend bucks that seen in the same 2005-7 period when sales generally moved downward. Based on market projections, 2008 is on track to surpass 2007 for total home sales. The median home price, as measured at the end of each month, also continued to fall. This decline is likely due to continued heightened activity for foreclosure-related properties and other strong values in the lower price band of the housing market and overall price declines. 20. Top Five Destinations, Value for Your Money!
August 11, 2008
My focus is always value, not the lowest price. As we all have different budgets, I like to choose from a range of budget accommodations to deluxe. I sifted through everything from little known destinations for a quiet romantic getaway to all-inclusive resorts for the whole family to cruising. The destinations and properties or cruise make my list when I see true value in the "deal". For example, if someone says the sale price is $100 per night at 50% off, and I do my homework and realize that the property is always $100 and not really worth it - there is no value. It is when I see they ... (read more)
