Consider a car incomplete if it lacks dampers, or more popularly known as shock absorbers. Every year, it is estimated that around 100 million shock absorbers are created and distributed worldwide. Overload shocks – Meanwhile, overload shocks provide support for vehicles that are experiencing suspension problems both in the front or rear systems. Overload shocks are perfect for those that suffer from understeering. Air shocks – Air shocks is a common feature of cargo trucks and other vehicles that tend to carry massive weight or load. Replacing your shock absorbers Shock absorbers also have a breaking point. They have a limit. Oftentimes, the trusted car part is expected to break or wear out upon delivering a 20,000 mile service. Driving problems would soon start to crop out. If left unattended, this could even bring more dilemmas. Unfortunately, measuring the 20,000 gauge is way too cumbersome. But then again, one would eventually know if a replacement is needed upon identifying the most important signs of a damper breakdown. First of all, do not hesitate to replace the shock absorber if there is an evident downpour of hydraulic fluid. This means that the damper is already leaking. Another sign that a replacement should be performed is when the eyelet breaks. Eyelets tend to hold shock absorbers. Without them, the damper cannot perform well.
