Folks on their way into an Everest hiking vacation will pass through Kathmandu, Nepal's capital. It is an amazing, atmospheric city to explore while you are waiting for your plane to Lukla. And before you visit Everest, it is very important to be aware about How long does it take to climb Mount Everest. This will give you clear concept about Everest duration. You will have a chance to sample some of the local cuisine while you are there.

You may like Aaloo Dum (fried potato, Nepali style) or Momo (dumplings). Kwati is a soup mixed from nine different legumes, also Badam Sadeko is a dish of peanuts using garlic and chillies. For dessert you might prefer a yoghurt called Dahi or a Nepali 'wine' rakshi that is called . It is a powerful drink that warms the belly on down the road.

A restaurant for trekkers in Kathmandu is your'Rum Doodle'. It is decorated with messages and memorabilia with notes, from Everest trekking celebrations at the Khumbu. It's an enjoyable place to see before and after your trek and serves both Nepali and western food washed down with tasty'Everest Beer'.

The majority will be provided by the tea houses. These rest stops that are welcome are an essential infrastructure for the Everest Base Camp Trek, providing a foundation for acclimatisation rest days and accommodation. They are all places of character, although some tea homes are extremely easy while some have a greater level of relaxation.

You could be surprised by the quantity of western food on offer; potatoes, soup, rice and chips are found on house menus. They are high in carbohydrates - that the food collection - therefore these are best for keeping you moving in an Everest Base Camp Trek. You'll also be introduced to a Sherpa food, also. Specifically, you will see a Nepalese dish called Dhal Bhat, which is rice topped with a soup-like sauce made from legumes and vegetables. On your Everest Base Camp Trek you will see since it contains your hiking crew eat Dhal Bhat for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

As for beverages, you need to be careful in your Everest trekking vacation to consume water that's been sufficiently purified. Trekking is sexy work and it's essential to remain well hydrated, and that means you'll be drinking plenty. There is always some very sweet, milky tea in addition to a fantastic supply of tea that is black.

Trekkers are encouraged to take snack food throughout the day to maintain up energy so you can feel justified enjoying suitable treats like beef jerky, nuts, dried fruit, granola bars, chocolate bars and energy bars. Most tea houses en route sell snacks including some old favourites from home like Hob Nob biscuits and Mars bars.

Everest Summit Bids

The requirements on the body are even greater when trekking to Everest's summit. Climbers must attempt to maintain up their energy levels, although because appetite affects eating may be hard during the climb.
