Arguably, online internet marketing scams are a very painful but real subject to any serious (or not so serious) IM'er! However, unpleasant or not, it is still important to discuss this issues in full, which we will attempt to do in the next number of articles. BE FULLY INFORMED Make no mistake; there are thousands of unscrupulous individuals out there with the sole intention of ripping you off, time and again! Do they care about helping you? Definitely not. All they want is to unload some worthless product on you just to make a quick dollar. They are not concerned about helping you build a real business online. FAMOUS NAMES? Do not be tempted by these so-called famous "Gurus." Be wary and do your homework; research (Google, etc.) the name of the company and/or the products they sell. They prey on the good but sometimes gullible and the unwary to sell their useless products. And be alert, once you are "hooked" they will attack you with a million emails to get you to buy and buy and buy! Don't just trust them blindly. THE OTHER SIDE OF THE COIN Fortunately, there are the exceptions to the rule, but finding them may be a real problem. Their products may or may not be good, but at least they will try to be as honest as possible with it. However, as the saying goes 'the proof in the pudding is in the eating' and many of these so-called new wonders fall miles short of the claims they make. At the end of the day, you do not want to end up with a product that does not deliver. And then there are the real thing. Marketers that really have your welfare at heart and will show you correct ways to build an online business. Here are a few tips to help you with that: 1.Don't Fall Into The "Guru" Scam Trap 2.Don't allow their hype on their sales page fool you. I know, it can sometimes be awesome the way they can dress up their latest and greatest and unique product that has never been marketed before. They will bombard you with impressive claims and income potential. Perhaps they will send you ClickBank proof of income of exactly $2145.25 (or whatever) per month and a bucket full of very satisfied buyer reviews that praise this new product to be just the thing they were looking for all these years. Whatever they send you, just be especially wary. When I see this kind of hype on a sales page, I immediately leave. At all times be suspicious of all these super hype-ridden claims. 3.Watch out for super-low-priced or so-called "free" products. Frequently, you will be enticed to enter their endless sales funnels with crazily cheap or free products that seem to be stuffed full of apparent outstanding value. These products are specially designed to overload you with a false sense of "perceived value," which will be unusable BS and mostly bollocks, just to get you to think that they're for real. However, before long, you'll find yourself receiving daily email offers for expensive and overpriced products and "training" that they'll insist you must have to make this latest and greatest wonder work even better and faster. SIXTH SENSE You will soon develop a "sixth sense" if you apply these principles. The old adage that "if something seems to be too good to be true, then it most probably are" stands true here. Be aware and consider your gut feeling as a red flag and refrain from getting sucked in. SCARCITY PLOYS Don't fall for "scarcity ploys." Internet marketers often use "countdown clocks" and other apparent "deadline" ploys to instill a fear of losing out on the so-called low-priced special offer if you don't buy now. These tactics tend to press the urgency of a product's super-low "early bird" price, especially for some of these "push-button" software marketing applications. Virtually every time you will find that this product will be selling for the same price later, so the whole gambit is just plain BS. Run away from these offers as fast as you can. And Finally As I said, if you faithfully apply these principles, you will eventually develop a sixth sense that will give you a good starting point to avoid these scams. Ignore any marketer or deal that looks too good to be true. Keep researching and you will eventually find some good, honest, and trustworthy marketers out there. And remember, a good dose of scepticism always pays off!
