Charles Wilson is a
Scottish journalist and
newspaper executive.
Charlie Wilson was Managing Director of Mirror Group plc from 1992 to 1998, having been Editorial Director of Mirror Group Newspapers from 1991 to 1992. He edited the Glasgow Evening Times, The Glasgow Times and The Scottish Sunday Standard (1976-1982).
He was deputy editor (1982-1985) and editor (1985-1990) of The Times in London, and from 1995-1996 he was editor of The Independent.
He was married to the broadcaster and journalist Anne Robinson and they have a daughter Emma. He was later married to successful journalist Sally O'Sullivan with whom he had a son Luke and a daughter Lily.
