Representations of Hell, Purgatory and Paradise will be exhibited until February the 26th at the Uffizi Gallery of Florence. The exhibition "Dante Illustrato" will display 64 antique shots taken by Florence photographer Giuseppe Cremoncini, in order to use them as illustrations of the “Divina Commedia” of 1898, edited by Corrado Ricci. In 1894 Cremoncini visited almost all Tuscany to find suitable subjects to reproduce numerous “villages, castles, rivers from Talamone in Maremma to Certaldo, from Campi to Chiusi, from the outfall of the Arno to sources of the Tevere”. 3. Echo, la ninfa che dorme in Central Park

La ninfa dorme tra gli alberi alti e verdi di Central Park, in piena Manhattan. Central Park, il polmone verde della Grande Mela, così esteso che ci vuole un giorno intero per girarlo a piedi e che, per un po’, fa quasi dimenticare di trovarsi nel bel mezzo di una delle metropoli più grandi del mondo.
La ninfa dorme, il viso regolare, gli occhi chiusi e la pelle bianchissima: non perché sia pallida, ma perché si tratta una statua scolpita dal celebre artista spagnolo Jaume Plensa. Una statua alta ben tredici metri.

4. Photo Contest 'Lo Scattone 2010' goes International - Dama in Casentino (Italy)

The Third edition of the 'Lo scattone' photo contest is ended, this contest was opened to all photo enthusiasts of every level of experience and age. The event, whose theme was "The Square", was organized by the association 'Pro-Loco Dama In Casentino' in collaboration with the Municipality of Chiusi della Verna, the Province of Arezzo, the Mountain Community of Casentino and the AVIS Photographic Circle of Bibbiena.
