In the former chap, Raskolnikov, the protagonist has just come back from committing the abominable murder of the pawnbroker. Although he locates an absence of blood on the tattered rags and thinks the police officers won't distrust him, Raskolnikov is soon requested at the police station. To his joy, the police don't ask Raskolnikov about the murder but instead about some money he owes the lady landlady. However, he blacks out when he hears someone talk about the crime which makes several of the police officers distrustful. Raskolnikov soon goes to his apartment. At the start of the 2nd chap, Raskolnikov has gone back to his room. He is becoming anxious and is dearly scared that the police will visit Raskolnikov's room. Raskolnikov is very weak and anxious. He quickly rounds up the stolen items from their hiding place and decides to go for a stretch. Raskolnikov has the intent of getting rid of them to remove all evidence from the murder. Although originally wanting to toss them into the river, he eventually chooses to put the items below a rock. Raskolnikov then goes around wondering what to do. Raskolnikov ends up visiting his companion, another impoverished Russian named Razumikhin. Razumikhin is affectionate, even boisterous. Razumikhin is also poor like the protagoinst. Razumikhin is glad to meet Raskolnikov and carefully examines him. He senses that Raskolnikov is bothered and offers him a job. All the same, Raskolnikov is in a horrible state of mind and quickly leaves. He soon goes back to house. Raskolnikov is completely tired because he had not gotten any sleep the last night. He dreams that the maid, Nastasya is being harshly beaten by a police officer. However, he wakes up and finds nastasya standing next to him with some food. He is extraordinarily confused and demands to know what is going on. Nastasya tells Raskolnikov it was all an illusion. I wish you admired this analysis of Crime and Punishment Part 2 Chapter 2.
