A dairy is a facility for the extraction and processing of animal milk—mostly from goats or cows, but also from buffalo, sheep, horses or camels —for human consumption. Typically it is a farm ( dairy farm) or section of a farm that is concerned with the production of milk, butter and cheese. Terminology differs slightly between countries. In particular, in the U.S. a dairy can also be a facility that processes, distributes and sells dairy products, or a room, building or establishment where milk is kept and butter or cheese is made. In New Zealand English a dairy means a corner convenience store, or Superette—and dairy factory is the term for what is elsewhere called a dairy. As an attributive, the word dairy refers to milk-based products, derivatives and processes, and the animals and workers involved in their production for example dairy cattle, dairy goat. A dairy farm produces milk and a dairy factory processes it into a variety of dairy products. These establishments constitute the dairy industry, a component of the food industry. Milk-producing animals have been domesticated for thousands of years. Initially they were part of the subsistence farming that nomads engaged in. As the community moved about the country so did their animals accompany them. Protecting and feeding the animals were a big part of the symbiotic relationship between the animal and the herder.

1. Dune Restaurant in New Jersey
November 19, 2008
Dining at the Shore brings a certain anticipation: nautical décor, open-air tiki bar, large platters of standard seafood and steaks delivered by no-nonsense waiters.
Dune, on the other hand, throws you a change-up. From the moment you enter the small, unassuming restaurant showered by the neon lights of its neighbor, the Margate Dairy Bar, you sense this will be different, beginning with the warm greeting from owner Nick Weinstein and the sign over the dining room entrance, “Be nice or leave.” By the time you do skidoo, you have dined on superior preparations of fish and meat, and perhap... November 17, 2008
The pH miracle diet is a program for restoring stability in the cadaver by consuming alkaline foods. The cadaver's cells are somewhat alkaline and by consuming alkalizing victuals you can support your cadaver's normal function. In addition to consuming alkalizing victuals, Dr. Robert Young, the maker of the diet, also suggests evading acidifying victuals like animal protein, wheat and dairy. Those who want good strength, according to Dr. Young, should become lacto-vegetarians.
The typical American diet certainly isn't alkalizing and certainly isn't lacto-vegetarian. Animal protein is a c... (read more)

6. Louis Seize (XVI) 1774-1793
November 14, 2008
Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette succeeded to a shamed throne. Out of sympathy with a licentious Court, they played child-like on the edge of a volcano. Financial difficulties pressed sorely and ministers were unable to hold their appointments long enough to bring much relief.
The people were terribly oppressed. While revolution smoldered, the Queen played dairy maid at the Petit Trianon at Versailles, and the King listened to bad advice from every courtier who could gain his ear. The Petit Trianon, a small palace near the vast edifice in the park at Versailles was erected by the architect... (read more)

As humans, we didn’t adapt to eat grains, we also didn’t adapt to consume dairy and processed sugars. October 16, 2008
As I just noted, I raised chickens from an early age and when I got a part-time job on a nearby dairy farm as a teenager I paid for the chicken feed. We sold the extra eggs and I let my mom keep the money for herself – a small token for all she did for me. My menagerie of living things during my teenage years included chickens, rabbits, pigeons, hamsters, goldfish, turkeys and ducks. We also raised a pig or two each year. I still loved gardening, flowers, small fruits (especially strawberries), and vegetables. Because I either did it myself or assisted my dad with our little farm, my ... (read more)
