A child’s destiny is determined by how his parents raised him. All of his moral traits and attitude towards life are honed out of experience from his close relatives. Whether he is an asset to the society or a plagued to the community, it all depends on how he was treated as a young one. Based from experience, I have seen individuals at their worst and best. Most of those who are successful grew from loving parents. Since they were infants, they were already treated with the outmost love and care. Though they may not be financially unstable or their parents not be able to furnish all the needs of the child, but rather it’s their genuine love that they give is what counts most. Children who experiences such delight tend to be more loving and passionate to others as compared to those who experience abuse and hatred. Children who are deprived from love and affection often grow up as resentful individuals. Though they may not be violent in nature, they still carry in their hearts the hate and suffering they have experienced during their formative years. Even if their family’s financial status is well, it does not mean that it is already enough to make their children grow fine. There are a lot of factors that affects the relation of a child and parent. One of the major reasons that causes such conflicts is adoption. Couples who have a problem in having a child resorts to this option. Though the intent is naturally good, it’s the future outcome that is unpredictable. The parent may at first give all the love they can provide but later realizes that no matter what they do, he is not from their own blood. The situation becomes even more critical when the child grows and learns his true identity. Knowing that he is a bastard, the emotional effect would be catastrophic. He will feel betrayed and disappointed. He will start to withdraw his self and prefer to be alone. That is why the Knox Indoor Sports Centre and Northcote Indoor Sports Gym have joined forces in organizing a dodgeball for a cause tournament. They aim to raise awareness against emotional anxiety of a child due to the lack of affection from their parents. They hope that these games would be a bridge that will connect parent s to their child and be able to regain the trust that was lost.
