Bridal makeup in Sydney is something that brides should pay extra special attention to. The weather conditions in Sydney can sometimes cause even the best makeup looks to fade after a few hours and it takes a skilled makeup artist to do bridal makeup that will last and really pop on your wedding photographs. Bridal makeup definitely differs from casual makeup and even event makeup. In Sydney, and anywhere else for that matter, all brides should make sure that the makeup artists they get for their special day knows exactly what they’re doing. The base layer of makeup, which is the foundation and everything that goes along with it, is a lot more important for a bridal makeup look in Sydney than it is for casual looks. Not only does the bride want her makeup to be stunning in person on the day of the wedding, she also wants it to stand out on wedding pictures that can often tend to make brides look pale. The problems with foundation during photography sessions can be numerous. If the foundation hasn’t been given depth and warmth with contouring and blush among other techniques, the face can look flat and dull, not to mention how fake this looks as well. A good makeup artist will know how to add depth and warmth back into your face after applying foundation. Contouring should never look muddy or like an unblended line, but it has to be strong to be picked up by cameras. Make sure your foundation isn’t too light for flash photography as well, since light foundation can make the skin glow abnormally white if you’re naturally pale already. Another thing to keep in mind with foundations is how compatible it is with your skin. People with dry skin types should avoid matte finish foundations when doing event makeup in Sydney just as people with oily skin should avoid dewy finish foundations. If you have dry skin, there’s also no need to set your entire face with powder after you’ve applied your base coat. People with oily skin will benefit greatly from powder. Your makeup artist will be able to judge what your skin type will look good with and guide you to a flattering look based on that. When it comes to the rest of your makeup, classic is always better. Stick to a timeless makeup look that will still be flattering years later. While it might be tempting to try a trendier look, this is best saved for days that aren’t your wedding day since the memories of your wedding day is going to last forever, while trends might not. In most cases, brides look best when they accentuate the eyes with their makeup, but in some cases going for a bold lip colour works too. Talking to your makeup artist about the options should make it easier to decide as they will have experience with the different looks and know what looks best and what doesn’t.
