National Football League (1953–present)The Indianapolis Colts are a professional American football team based in Indianapolis, Indiana. The team is part of the South Division of the American Football Conference (AFC) in the National Football League (NFL). Prior to moving to Indianapolis from Baltimore, the Colts won four NFL Championships, including Super Bowl V. As the Indianapolis Colts, the team won Super Bowl XLI in 2006 against the Chicago Bears. The Colts moved from Baltimore in 1984, and began their stay in Indianapolis winning 90 of 228 games through the 1997 season, including 5 playoff games. Since Jim Irsay assumed control of the franchise in 1998 after the death of his father, Robert Irsay, the team has become the first in league history to win 12 games or more in five consecutive seasons - extending this record to six after the 2008 season. The Colts are also the first NFL team to beat all of the other 31 NFL teams [1]. The Baltimore Colts were the first NFL team to have cheerleaders, and a marching band.[2]

November 12, 2009
The roots of the franchise go back to December 28, 1946, when the bankrupt Miami Seahawks of the All-America Football Conference were purchased and relocated in Baltimore by a group headed by Bob Rodenberg. September 7, 1947, wearing green and silver uniforms, the Colts, under Head Coach Cecil Isbell, won their initial AAFC game, 16-7, over the Brooklyn Dodgers. The team concluded its inaugural season before a record Baltimorecrowd of 51,583 by losing to the New York Yankees, 21-7. 2. How much time do you need?
September 24, 2009
This post was published to Wealth2share's Blog at 9:48:04 PM 9/22/2009 How Much Time Do You Need?
I’m a big football fan, so bear with me. I’ll get to the point quickly. For those of you who aren’t into football, the game is divided into four 15 minute quarters. Monday night there was a game between the Indianapolis Colts and the Miami Dolphins. The Dolphins held the ball for over 45 minutes. That’s more than 3 quarters. Their running game was superb. They had nearly twice as many first downs and held the edge in nearly every category. And in that amount of time, they were able... (read more)

9. 2009 Tennessee Titans Fantasy Football Preview
May 26, 2009
The Tennessee Titans came of age in 2008 posting a 13-3 record and claiming the AFC South title knocking the Indianapolis Colts off of their perch. However, the season failed to end the way the Titans hoped as they were defeated 13-10 by the Baltimore Ravens in the Divisional Playoffs. The end of my fantasy season was far more favorable than the Titans as I claimed my 2nd Super Bowl title in 10 years. One of the big reasons I was celebrating around Christmas time when other owners were crying in their beer is Titans RB Chris Johnson. It all started in August when I saw Johnson break a lon... 10. 2009 Indianapolis Colts Fantasy Football Preview
May 19, 2009
The year 2008 was kind of a down year for the Indianapolis Colts. For the 6th time in his career Peyton Manning was one and done in the playoffs losing 23-17 to the San Diego Chargers in the Wildcard round. Moreover, last year was somewhat of an off year for Manning statistically despite winning his 3rd league MVP award and I witnessed firsthand what it is like to have a QB that is trying to shake the rust off after having off season knee injury. Manning heated up later in the year but unfortunately many owners did not have the supporting cast that I had to hold the fort down and thus miss... (read more)

12. Indianapolis Colts - Horses, a Symbol of Speed and Agility
December 08, 2008
Human beings raise above all the species of the Animal Kingdom. We are the most intellectual creatures as we can rationalize; show emotions, do logical tasks, speak with words and many skills that are evident to every person living. Despite it all, animals symbolically represent the characteristics of the humankind. Sometimes, animals are personified in statements. This figure of speech is not only important in making poetry. However, they are used to rationalize the strengths within humans. Moreover, there is no other way to describe them but through animals. In the field of sports, a gr... (read more)

In their nine decades of playing football, the Arizona Cardinals have lost a total of 664 games, 57% of all the games they have played. Since 1947, they have won only one playoff game, and since 1984, had only one winning season. 15. Indianapolis Colts sweep of Texans
November 21, 2008
Peyton Manning is making the difference for Colts and in the past three games he has achieved seven touchdowns and no interceptions.
We’ve been expecting it all season and it finally came, the Indianapolis Colts efforts have paid in a good way, as they have overcome errors and the three in a row winning streak looks like a future play-off prediction.
As it was meant to be, it only took Peyton Manning one half of the game to decode the Houston defense and in the final two quarters he decided to wrap it up. Manning the two-time NFL MVP, led Indianapolis to wipe out the two Houston lea... (read more)

16. Indianapolis Colts Unstoppable
November 12, 2008
I bear in mind those days when Pittsburghs’ QB Ben Roethlisberger used to give passing lessons during game time to rival quarterbacks, but again as I said…I bear in mind.
What made this game so interesting to watch, was the fact that the Pittsburgh Steelers are the type of team that scores big time on the 1st quarter, keeps it simple and safe on 2nd and 3rd, but comes back to settle the scores on the 4th.
I was putting my expectations on Pittsburgh, as that terrible interception just 3 minutes before conclusion left a bitter taste on the Colts front line and there was the fact as w... (read more)

17. Indianapolis Colts Tickets - Broken Curse of Lucas Oil Stadium
November 03, 2008
StubHub.com is your best source for Indianapolis Colts tickets. The RCA Dome may have been flattened this fall, but the Indianapolis Colts’ dreams are not. Following a year-long battle of financial woes and uncertainty as the beast we refer to as the Lucas Oil Stadium slowly took form, casting a shadow over the rest of the ancient downtown Indianapolis area, Colts fans have been more than a little disappointed as their tax dollars at work have been drained. The worst part of all? The Colts have had a terrible start to their season, losing every game they’ve played at the new stadium until Week... (read more)

18. NFL Tickets - Week 6 Recap (Part 1)
November 03, 2008
StubHub.com is your best source for NFL tickets.Indianapolis Colts 31, Baltimore Ravens 3: This Colts offense looked like the one that used to sell tons of NFL tickets. Indi got off to slow start on offense this season, which can probably be attributed to the fact that quarterback Peyton Manning missed all of the preseason after undergoing offseason knee surgery. The offensive unit was clicking on all cylinders this week though, as the Colts put up 31 points on one of the best defenses in the NFL. Marvin Harrison looked like the future hall-of-famer he is when he burned Chris McAllister for... (read more)

October 27, 2008
Find your Indianapolis Colts tickets at StubHub.com. The Indianapolis Colts have had a rough season so far, and that is only with two weeks down. After Peyton Manning missed the entire preseason after knee surgery, the Indianapolis started the season by losing their very first home game at the new Lucas Oil Stadium to the Chicago Bears in a shocking 29-13 loss. They seemed to pick it up in week two by topping the Minnesota Vikings 18-15, but the win came at a cost. 20. Indianapolis Colts Tickets- Colts Bid Farewell to Johnson
October 27, 2008
Get your Indianapolis Colts tickets at StubHub.com. After a shocking 29-13 loss to the Chicago Bears in the opening game of the season, the Indianapolis Colts were still reeling when they got the news about defensive tackle Ed Johnson. In the wee morning hours of Wednesday, September 10, the starting defensive tackle was pulled over for speeding and then subsequently arrested for possession of marijuana. Before the league even had a chance to impose any sanctions on Johnson, the colts acted quickly and announced their intentions to release him. The timing could hardly be worse for Indianapol... 21. Chicago Bears Tickets- Chicago and Carolina Both Riding High From Upsets
October 27, 2008
Find your Chicago Bears tickets at StubHub.com. When the NFL gurus looked into their crystal balls before the opening game of the regular season, they barely took a second look at the matchups of the Indianapolis Colts vs. the Chicago Bears and the San Diego Chargers vs. the Caroline Panthers. Those games seemed like no-brainers. Indianapolis’s offense would stun the Bears, who wouldn’t be able to put a solid offensive drive together, and the San Diego Chargers would show they are ready to win the Super Bowl by blowing past Carolina. Those same gurus are probably still picking up their drop... (read more)

23. Texans vs. Colts
October 08, 2008
Colts -4 1/2 vs. Texans
No team is in more need to get back on track then the Indianapolis Colts. It is not that there season can’t be rescued, but if they don’t get their high powered offense back to dominant status, it definitely could be.
At 1-2, the Colts haven’t looked this bad to start the season since Peyton Manning was a rookie. It is not just that they look bad, but Manning is just not playing well thus far. Usually Manning is in command, controlling the offense and keeping the defense completely clueless, but he is really struggling coming back from being injured for the fi... (read more)

October 07, 2008
Passing for 4040 yards, 31 touchdowns and collecting a 98.0 QB rating in 2007, Peyton Manning was again remarkable; now, will he aim for Super Bowl in 08-09 campaign?
We’ve done comparisons to Dan Marino and Tom Brady the past weeks, we’ve praised their efforts in and out of the field and while analyzing them, we have also mentioned Peyton Manning in a 2-3 brief sentence; so now, let’s focus on Peyton Manning.
Again, we will try to concentrate on Peyton Manning only, so pardon us if by chance we mention someone else on the way.
