1. Is The Roman Catholic Church Christian?
February 13, 2012
Where to start? First let’s define what Christianity is…
The base of Christianity is defined by doctrines found in the Holy Bible. Is it just a belief in Jesus the Messiah? Well Mormons and even the Devil believe in Christ. So “belief” in Jesus does not make you a “Christian” per se. You must believe the Bible as it is clear that Jesus is God in flesh and the creator of everything.
There is essential doctrine to follow, but I will focus on only a couple for the sake of brevity; The Roman Catholic Church breaks two essential doctrines. 1) They promote Mary and the Saints to a God-like... (read more)

2. The Biblical Canon: Which Books Got Included and Why
February 13, 2012
The canon of Scripture is the official list of books that belong in the Bible. While we can thumb through a Bible today and see there are 66 books included in Scripture, how did we arrive at those books? Were some books ever in the Bible and then excluded? Who decided what books were Holy Writ and what books were not? This is an important question for those who look to the Bible as an authoritative document.
Biblical scholars call this topic "canonicity" or the determination of which books are part of the "canon" of Scripture. The canon is the collection of books recognized as Holy Scriptu... (read more)

February 08, 2012
His brown curly hair fell wispily to his shoulders and caressed the sides of his beard and mustache. His dark eye brows were arched slightly and his eyes shone with a brilliant light of love. A glimmer of white teeth flashed as his mouth curled up in a smile. Jesus was stylishly dressed and the anticipation of the moment was making His heart beat wildly with excitement. He had come home to share with His family and friends the Good News. But when He arrived He questioned if it was possible to go Home, “Father, can I please come home?” He asked. Jesus had just come from Galilee where th... (read more)

5. Apologetics: Are Christian Apologists Losing Focus?
February 08, 2012
I was humbled recently or should I say slapped in the face by my own hand? It was brought to my attention yesterday that during a “debate” with a Roman Catholic, that when things started heating up as sometimes they do, my focus on Jesus was lost. It then became a matter of pride and not Glorifying Jesus Christ. Sure there was vitriol and some name calling however is that what Jesus would want? I must quote the famous Bible passage that is the cornerstone of all Apologists and Christians called to “defend” the faith;
1 Peter 3: 15 (NASB) 15 but sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts, al... (read more)
