Jesus of Nazareth ( c 4 BC/ BCE – c 30 AD/ CE) [1]—also known as Jesus Christ or occasionally Jesus the Christ—is the central figure of Christianity. Within most Christian denominations Jesus is venerated as the Son of God and as God incarnate. Christians also view him as the Messiah foretold in the Old Testament; however, Judaism rejects these claims. Islam considers Jesus a prophet and also the Messiah [4] while several other religions revere him in some way. The principal sources of information regarding Jesus' life and teachings are the four canonical gospels, especially the Synoptic Gospels,[5][6] though some scholars argue that other texts (such as the Gospel of Thomas) are as relevant as the canonical gospels to the historical Jesus.[7] Most critical scholars in the fields of history and biblical studies believe that some parts of the New Testament are useful for reconstructing Jesus' life,[8][9][10][11] agreeing that he was a Jew who was regarded as a teacher and healer. They also generally accept that he was baptized by John the Baptist, and was crucified in Jerusalem on the orders of the Roman Prefect of Judaea, Pontius Pilate, on the charge of sedition against the Roman Empire.[12][13][14][15][16][17][18] Aside from these few conclusions, academic studies remain inconclusive about the chronology, the central message of Jesus' preaching, his social class, cultural environment, and religious orientation.[7] Scholars offer competing descriptions of Jesus as the awaited Messiah,[19] as a self-described Messiah, as the leader of an apocalyptic movement, as an itinerant sage, as a charismatic healer, and as the founder of an independent religious movement. In Islam, Jesus (Arabic ?????, commonly transliterated as Isa) is considered one of God's important prophets,[22][23] a bringer of scripture, and a worker of miracles. Jesus is also called "Messiah", but Islam does not teach that he was divine. Islam teaches that Jesus ascended bodily to heaven without experiencing the crucifixion and resurrection,[24] rather than the traditional Christian belief of the death and resurrection of Jesus. "Jesus" (pronounced /'d?i?z?s/) is a transliteration, occurring in a number of languages and based on the Latin Iesus, of the Greek ??s??? (Iesoûs), itself a Hellenisation of the Hebrew ????? (Yehoshua) or Hebrew-Aramaic ???? (Yeshua, Joshua), meaning "YHWH rescues" or "YHWH delivers".[25] "Christ" (pronounced /'kra?st/) is a title derived from the Greek ???st?? (Christós), meaning the "Anointed One", a translation of the Hebrew ???????? (Messiah).[26] A "Messiah" is a king anointed at God's direction or with God's approval, and Christians identify Jesus as the one foretold by Hebrew prophets.

Whether we are young or old we surely enjoy the atmosphere of Christmas. It is a special moment where we all forget the bad times that we have been through during the year and look forward to new beginnings. As the festive season is coming closer I would like to seize this opportunity to speak more on this great celebration.
There are many people that consider that Christmas is the day on which Jesus Christ was born but regrettably this is not the truth. Christmas was inspired by a pagan festival in the honor of the unconquerable sun God which was held on the 25th December. In ... (read more)

November 20, 2009
"Follow not what wise men say, follow instead in their footsteps." (Old Zen Saying). Meaning that in order to reach the levels of elevated consciousness that these wise men achieved, you must live the life that they did, or, "Follow in their footsteps" in order to reach those lofty plateaus. Only reading and following their words doesn‘t work.
If you look, not necessarily at what Christ said but the life that he led as depicted in the Bible - He was not a family man. Nor was He a businessman, or a politician, or nationalistic. All of that Old Testament stuff; procreation, obedience, comma... (read more)

Beyond the enlightening methods about how to effectively disciple to my children to guide them into the world as disciples of Christ, I realized that much of his content was true for a MLM business opportunity also.
Before I proceed with this topic, I hope I don't offend anyone with the idea of building an analogy between disciple building and MLM organization building. Stick with me a few minutes and you'll see the parallel...

11. Christ in Our Hearts Christian Faith Today
November 12, 2009
God is looking to us to determine if the Cross of Christ is embellished on our hearts and lives. The early Christians sticked to the picture of the Cross as it helped them remember Jesus. they did not see Him as still hanging on the cross, but viewed it as a depiction of God's never-ending love and forgiveness. The Cross was not the end or the final word on the state of humankind. it really was a compulsory step that wanted to be taken by Jesus before God's deliverance might be completely realized by all who would come to like and worship Him. The early Christians adhered to the picture... (read more)

Christian is a person who adheres to Christianity says Wikipedia. Christianity is the monotheistic religion based on the life and teachings of Jesus of Nazareth (Christ) is what Wikipedia says about Christianity. 16. When Christ Was Born
November 11, 2009
What Homer, Euclid, Herodotus, Hippocrates, Antonio Vivaldi, Johann Gutenberg, and Jesus Christ have in common is that they are among the many historical figures documented with uncertain dates of birth. And it is rather ironic that Jesus Christ, probably the biggest name in the list and to whom historians have been basing their timeline for the last two thousand years, continues to have an obscure birth date.
Early Church experts ventured to establish Jesus’ birth as the center of human history, from when the years begin counting progressively as Anno Domini, or “The year of our Lord”; a... (read more)

19. We must all be missionaries and help spread the Word of God
November 05, 2009
When we think about spreading the word of God it is easy to be stuck imagining the great 19th century missionaries who went out around the world and risked their lives to tell peoples about the Lord. Cannibals and wild animals rage in the popular imagination when missionaries are mentioned. This isn't for me, we are inclined to think. It can even seem that the world has changed, that everyone knows about Jesus already, that our work is merely to live a Christian life and nothing more. But we are still called to spread the word of God. Many people in many countries have even in the 21st c... (read more)

20. THE COMING BACK OF GOD by Rodney Howard Browne
November 05, 2009
Marie and I were enjoying a quiet evening at home. The house was weirdly still, and we were sitting there slurping freshly perked coffee and having a quiet conversation. It's biblical ; it is the exact thing Titus 2:13 claims,'looking for the sanctified hope and the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Christ Jesus.'. You can not read highly far without stumbling on it, whatever book you choose. In the New Testament alone the events related to Christ's coming are discussed over three hundred times. But what does one do in the meantime?' I hear all pragmatists asking. Firs... (read more)

The Christ is not just one person. The Christ is an "office" or "position" we ALL attain to. The word Christ means, "the anointed one." Jesus came to show us the way to be a vessel for the Love of God to manifest.
When the Christ Spirit entered Jesus he had perfected His soul in many lifetimes to be a worthy temple for Love incarnate. Edgar Cayce said that Jesus was Adam. In the "fall" was the promise of full redemption.
