Employee hiring is at its lowest point since December 2000; particularly in the areas of construction, the trades, transportation and utilities. The Bureau of Labor Statistics reports a hiring rate of 2.9 percent in a 12 month period ending in June 2009.
There are some industries whose hiring levels have not changed significantly; in particular, education, health services organizations, manufacturing; transportation, warehousing, and utilities; information; real estate and rental and leasing; social assistance; and arts, entertainment, and recreation.

Known affectionately as “Tae Tae,” DeAunta Terrell Farrow was 12 years old and had just graduated from the sixth grade. His hopes and dreams, his life were abruptly ended with two police bullets on the evening of June 22. Around 16 per cent of Dubai job providers said they are hiring more staff than last year as well.
