Ever heard the term a backlink is a backlink? Meaning that all backlinks are all the same, no matter where they’re coming from. Authority figure type sites are never going to spam you, or leave your site’s ranking at a standstill. An authority site is going help your site grow and rank well in one way or another. That’s why they are the best sources to use when it comes to building backlinks to your site. You may be wondering, who are the authority figures and what is it that they do exactly? Authority figures on the web are article directories, popular blogs, popular forums, etc. If you look at article directories like ezinearticles, goarticles, articlesbase and so on, you will find it that these article directories are what is considered as authority sites, or authority figures. These are the directories that you are going to want to get your backlinks from, because the backlinks that you are going to get from them will definitely not be spammed, you will also see that your site is growing and moving forward, but most important of all, you are getting a backlink that is going to help rank you higher in the search engines. If the attribute reads dofollow then the search engines are going to follow it and begin to see your site as a place to receive relevant information and begin to rank your pages, but if it uses the nofollow attribute, as articlesbase does, then the search engines will not follow it or rank your site. So, aim for authority sites that uses the nofollow attribute anyway. And remember, be careful of who and where you get your backlinks from, as we’ve just learned, the best and probably the only place you should dig for backlinks are from authority type sites. Getting enough backlinks from authority sites will get you noticed and ranked by the search engines quicker. And once you are highly ranked and getting enough strong backlinks from these guys, you’re going to be overflowed with traffic and sales.
