3. Motorola sees sales drop

Mobile phone manufacturer, Motorola, has seen it’s sales in handset drop by almost 40% in the first quarter on 2008. It also announced a loss of almost £100 millions compared to just under £90 million the same time last year. Overall, their net sales have dropped by £2 billion in the last 12 months. In March the company floated the mobile phone branch of it’s business due to pressure from Carl Icahn, who owns over 6% of stock. China has surpassed the United States as the largest user of the worldwide web. This is due to a massive jump of over 60% of the Chinese getting online in the last 12 months. In September 2005 the city of Ottawa passed a bylaw that would require all city taxi cab drivers to install security cameras in their vehicles by March 21, 2008. Unsecured personal loans. Over the last year interest rates available on unsecured personal loans have continued to increase. The average rate for all loan amounts is now up to a maximum of 4.6 per cent higher than they were in March 2007. Smaller loans have seen the higest increase with the highest rate for loans of £1K to £2,999 was 19.9% 12 months ago this was with Marks & Spencer Money, Sainsbury's Bank and Britannia BS.
