A moth is an insect closely related to the butterfly, both being of the order Lepidoptera. The differences between butterflies and moths are more than just taxonomy. Sometimes the names " Rhopalocera" (butterflies) and " Heterocera" (moths) are used to formalize the popular distinction. Many attempts have been made to subdivide the Lepidoptera into groups such as the Microlepidoptera and Macrolepidoptera, Frenatae and Jugatae, or Monotrysia and Ditrysia. Failure of these names to persist in modern classifications is due to the fact none of them represents a pair of " monophyletic groups". The reality is that butterflies are a small group that arose from within the "moths" [citation needed] and there is thus no way to group all of the remaining taxa in a monophyletic group, as it will always exclude that one descendant lineage. Most species of moth are nocturnal, but there are crepuscular and diurnal species. They can be distinguished from butterflies in several ways. The Modern English word "moth" comes from Old English "moððe" (cf. Northumbrian "mohðe") from Common Germanic (compare Old Norse "motti", Dutch "Mot" and German "Motte" all meaning "moth"). Perhaps its origins are related to Old English "maða" meaning "maggot" or from the root of "midge" which until the 16th century was used mostly to indicate the larva, usually in reference to devouring clothes. The study of butterflies and moths is known as lepidoptery, and biologists that specialize in either are called lepidopterists. As a pastime, watching butterflies and moths is known as butterflying and mothing. The latter has given rise to the term "mother" for someone who engages in this activity — sometimes written with a hyphen (moth-er) to distinguish it from its usual meaning. This confusion does not arise in speech as it is pronounced differently (IPA /'m???/, not /'m?ð?/).

So, I was just looking at my financial statements for this last moth in an eBay business I have. What I saw was a thing a beauty.
First, I'll say that this particular eBay business has 4 income streams built within it: (1) sales from eBay, (2) backend sales of a high priced info product to current customers. (3) joint venture deals. And (4) affiliate sales through my email list to past customers. It's the last one that I notice a change on. The first two income streams make up the bulk of my business. Backend sales to current customers made up over 40% of my income until now.

16. How to Identify A Real Silk Rugs
March 25, 2008
We don't mean to be alarmist, but we sometimes see "silk rugs" that are made of something other than genuine, natural silk. The problem happens most often with just a few rug types sold in tourist markets in Turkey and India (and sometimes in Pakistan). Real Silk Real silk is produced as the cocoon covering of the silkworm, the pupal form of the Asian or mulberry silk moth, bombyx mori. The cocoon is spun by the silk moth caterpillar of... 17. Tree Damage Due to the Gypsy Moth
March 09, 2008
The gypsy moth was actually brought to the United States in 1869 in an attempt to start a silkworm industry. The gypsy moth is an example of an experiment gone horribly wrong. Needless to say, the silkworm industry experiment failed with the moth escaping soon afterwards to become, over the past century, a major pest in the northeastern United States and southeastern Canada. The insect larvae, which are caterpillars, emerge from their eggs beginning in early spring and continuing through mid-May to start the devastating tree damage. Devouring mostly at night, the caterpillars crawl from l... (read more)

18. How To Not Fail In Your Network Marketing Business
March 04, 2008
I have taken a hard look at network marketing to try to determine the ways one can be successful in one. 22. Rebel, rebel: bad-boy style is the way to go for men this winter
December 14, 2007
Knitwear is a perennial Christmas-gift favourite when buying for men, and with good reason – it’s freezing outside; last year’s most loved jumpers are looking moth-eaten and threadbare; and you just know your boyfriend, brother or son would hate to spend his own hard-earned pennies on anything as sensible as a new one. Thankfully, though, this season the shops are heaving with cool, slim-fit knits meaning that your loved ones don’t have to be bundled up in something Captain Haddock gave to Oxfam, or worse, the dreaded granny-knit. 24. How to acquire great wealth
November 19, 2007
Jesus and Buddha both tried to show us that the desire for external things is what creates most of our unhappiness in life. Buddha said, "The world, indeed, is like a dream and the treasures of the world are an alluring mirage! Like the apparent distances in a picture, things have no reality in themselves, but they are like heat haze."Jesus also said "Do not set up for yourself things that rust and moth can corrupt, but set up your treasure in heaven."So what does this mean? Do you have to give up everything? No, but understanding that this world is in a constant state of flux and that as my f... (read more)
