15. Autism Risperdal: Should I put my Autistic child on Risperdal?
August 23, 2007
I thought I would write today about the antipsychotic medication Risperdal. Both my boys have been on Risperdal and my oldest boy is still on Risperdal.
Risperdal has just recently in October 2006 been FDA approved for the treatment of irritability in Autism. I realize that Risperdal has only been approved for children and adolescents (ages 5-16 years) and my son Jordan is 19 years old but he has been using Risperdal for years, even before it was FDA approved. It is still addressing his aggressive behavior. I would not say that either of my boys have real behavior problems but Jor... (read more)

February 20, 2007
Upper Saddle River, N.J. - October 16, 2006 - Business ethics, corporate leadership, good governance. These are today’s buzzwords; “good as gold” standards that few can argue with. Recognizing that the starting point for good governance starts with the boards of directors, the Securities and Exchange Commission has mandated that tighter controls be placed on the boards themselves. Part of this requirement is that the... (read more)

December 20, 2006
TIME magazine (October 16, 2006), in an article on child mortality caused by diarrhoea, a water- borne disease, says that the annual toll of the disease is 1.9 million children. A telling comment on what humanity has done to its water resources!
When we see photographs of distant planets taken by space probes, one thing strikes us immediately. Without water bodies, they look so lifeless. We realize how singularly unique and blessed our planet is and how human existence is inextricably linked to water.
What have we done with the abundant resources of water given to us by Nature? O... (read more)

October 16, 2006 (New Orleans, LA) – Greetings from the French Quarter as New Orleans Saints fans are still reveling today, just hours after their upstart football team clipped the Eagles in the Super Dome.
