1. Some Most Sacred Mountains Of Hinduism
September 19, 2011
The article presents a more thorough collection of mountains sacred for Hindus and Buddhists (India, China), and every mountain (with some religious significance) is accompanied with a brief annotation.

Most websites only list mountains such as Mount Kailash and all they include are possibly some mythological mountains such as Mount Meru the physical existence of which is a matter of dispute. Other websites I found list the worl... (read more)

August 10, 2011
Buddhism has been the official religion of Tibet for almost 2,000 years. Originating in India approximately 2500 years ago, it migrated to Tibet in 170 AD, but didn’t take hold until the reign of King Songtsen Gampo, when he declared it the official religion of the country in 641 AD.

September 03, 2009
At first glance, the Tibetan dorje symbol appears to be a weapon. But the dorje symbol is not a weapon, it is a ritual object. In Tibetan Buddhism, the dorje symbol is inseparable with the bell.
