Persecution is the systematic mistreatment of an individual/group by another group. The most common forms are religious persecution, ethnic persecution, and political persecution, though there is naturally some overlap between these terms. As part of the Nuremberg Principles, crimes against humanity are part of international law. Principle IV of the Nuremberg Principles states that The crimes hereinafter set out are punishable as crimes under international law... (c)Crimes against humanity Several subsequent international treaties incorporate this principle, but some have dropped the restriction "in connection with any crime against peace or any war crime" that is in Nuremberg Principles the for example although only binding on the 60 states that have ratified it, the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court) includes in Article 7 the definition for crimes against humanity, and clause 7.1 states "For the purpose of this Statute, "crime against humanity" means any of the following acts when committed as part of a widespread or systematic attack directed against any civilian population, with knowledge of the attack ... (h) Persecution against any identifiable group or collectivity on political, racial, national, ethnic, cultural, religious, gender as defined in paragraph 3,[2] or other grounds that are universally recognized as impermissible under international law, in connection with any act referred to in this paragraph or any crime within the jurisdiction of the Court; ... 1. Persecution Of Christians By Christians
November 04, 2008
Disciples of the doctrine of Jesus of Nazareth of the Holy Bible are increasingly becoming victims of religious persecution worldwide. However, the article, infomercial or documentary usually cites followers of non-Christian doctrines such as Islam, Hinduism or Buddhism as the perpetrators of the persecution. Nevertheless, such groups of people are not, by far, the only ones to subject the servants of God to martyrdom. There is another group of people who have joined in the futile attempt to eradicate Christianity. Ironically, they identify themselves as Christians also. How can this be?... (read more)

2. Extra police put the brakes on young drivers
October 21, 2008
Increased police patrols on the country’s roads do make a difference to young motorists’ driving habits.
More than a quarter of drivers interviewed in a nationwide survey - by one of the country’s leading breakdown services - say any increased police presence results in more careful driving.
In the latest new survey for Autonational Rescue, 40% of younger drivers said that they drove more carefully as a result but 10% regarded any increased activity as persecution.
For a significant proportion of all motorists, however, extra patrols make no difference at all, especially among ... (read more)

3. Count the Cost: Rejected For Christ and the Bible
October 16, 2008
This is a bit more complicated than one might first suspect. While being rejected for Christ does end in eternal rewards - there are tightly defined qualifications for eligibility to such trophies. I want to begin by retracing my steps on this issue.
“Count the Cost”
I began seeking God ... battered and bleeding. The wounds were internal - but real - and life was exiting through them. I decided to read the Bible for myself - and was soon intrigued by some statements ... and confronted by others. For example, when speaking to potential adherents, Jesus used this illustration: “... October 02, 2008
Chanukah is a festival with duration of eight days. It begins on the twenty-fifth day of the month of Kislev. It is celebrates to rejoice the victory of the Jews against religious oppression and Greek persecution.
In addition to being successful in battle, one more wonder happened. When the Maccabees arrive to rededicate the shrine, they discover only solitary container of oil with which to light the Menorah. This little container lasted for next eight days. One story of the motive for lighting the Chanukah Menorahs, every day for eight days, is in festivity for this wonder, but there ar... (read more)

July 17, 2008
NIGERIA SET TO PLUNGE THE WORLD INTO UTTER DARKNESS Nigeria is indeed set to throw the whole world into great darkness, because Nigeria has been persecuting the sons and people of God. 6. CoEd Baby Shower Parties a the Wave of the Future
June 18, 2008
There are times in the past where having a baby shower meant that it was a hidden and secret ritual that was only enjoyed by women who were expecting and their close girlfriends. No one ever knew what they did there or what exactly went on at these affairs. Their locations were a well guarded secret and no man would ever dare to ask let alone attend one of these for fear of persecution from his peers.
Times have changed and this isn’t the case any longer. Baby showers have become open affairs with everyone now allowed to attend. It isn’t just allowed it is encouraged. In previous years wo... (read more)

7. A brief Introduction to Barossa Valley's History
June 08, 2008
In 1837 the Barossa Valley was named by South Australia's first Surveyor General, Colonel William Light. The area's name comes from a location with the same name in Spain. Barossa was first settled in 1842 by German and English settlers. The largest group was German as they had just escaped religious persecution, and within months the area had become full of German culture that has stayed right up to today and which is sure to remain into the future. Settlements were established in Bethany in 1842 and followed closely by Angaston, Krondorf, Ebenezer, Penrice, Light Pass & Langmeil. La... (read more)

8. Asiatic Lion
May 29, 2008
Panthera Leo Persica, the Asiatic Lion or Asian Lion once roamed over a range extending from Greece to South Asia, but relentless human persecution has meant it is now restricted to a single reserve in the west Indian state of Gujarat, by name of Gir Forest. Apart from size, the other features that distinguish the Asian Lion from African Lion include a bushier coat, smaller mane that exposes their ears, a central skin fold that runs across the belly and longer tufts of hair at elbows and tip of tail. Weight is in the range of four to five hundred pounds for males and two hundred and fifty... (read more)

9. The Salem Witch Trial Connection
April 16, 2008
Excerpt from Genealogy of David Miles Goddard Sr. by Ashira Goddard
The Salem Witchcraft Trial Connection
Serving as a black mark on the history of Massachusetts were the Witchcraft trials of 1692-1693. Rebeca Nurse and Sarah Cloyce were victims of the witchcraft frenzy (related through the heritage of William and Elizabeth Miles Goddard and William and Keziah (Cloyces) Goddard).
Research has shown that a deep piety in this theocratic society intertwined with superstition, hysteria, fear and believe it or not economics all played a part in perpetuating this persecution and trage... (read more)

10. Keeping A Distance From Religion
April 01, 2008
A primary reason evolution is believed by many is because what is thought to be the alternative, religion, is feared, dreaded and unthinkable. And it is true that scientific advances only occurred because knowledge was wrested from the autocratic clutches of religion. Our age of wonderful technology came at a cost of great persecution and brought us out of the cave and off the pews into the light (fluorescent). The memory of clerical obscurantism has been riveted upon the human subconscious. Religion – and by association anything paranormal or spiritual – is rejected out of hand becaus... (read more)

13. Saved In Civity--Becoming One In The Living Body Of God
January 07, 2008
When we are persecuted by opposition to our message we join in the Bread as the Body of Christ. We live a new corporate Life in this one Body as God makes us alive in the process of civity.
Each of us is an individual with an individual Seal. Each of us is together united in one, and we become the Body of Christ. The Body of Christ begins as individual grains of wheat.
Jesus is the first Grain of wheat. His Message is the second Grain of wheat. The third grain of wheat is His individual believer. When Christians believe the Message of Jesus, they become like Him.

14. Symbols Of The Somaton-Oneness When With God
January 05, 2008
Each body of each of the sealed people is the somaton sacrificed for the message. When we suffer persecution in our bodies we are joined together becoming one Body and Bread.
Jesus is well-known for sharing His Last Supper meal with His disciples. We partake in this meal unto this very day, remembering Him. But the meal means more to those of us who are sealed.
When they were eating the Last Supper Jesus took the Bread, blessed and gave thanks, and broke the Bread. He gave it to His disciples. "Take! Eat!" Jesus said, "This is my Body."
The symbolism of the Last Supper is ... (read more)

15. Understanding The Problems We experience In Our Lives
January 02, 2008
I write things, not because I have all the answers, or that I am living up to the standard that God has set before me, but because I must know the truth and I need to hear the truth. “What should be our attitude in adversity?” Adversity comes home, eventually to every Christian’s doorstep, even mine. At these times it does no good to rant and rave and curse the day you were born; it’s at these times that we need understanding and wisdom to push forward for the Lord.

17. Know the Syndoxy Soon After Suffering
December 10, 2007
When you receive the Seal you will suffer some persecution and opposition, especially when you take the message of the Seal to the world. But we who are sealed and suffer together will be glorified together in syndoxy.
Your natural self is the "flesh." And your flesh wants to take over. In the beginning it wants to take over all the time. But after a while when you have put the flesh to death every day it does not return with such virility.
Your natural self or your flesh wants you to act out your instincts, your "drive to survive." This is why sexual lust is often a matter ... (read more)

18. Simple Obedience: Obey God Wherever You Are
November 26, 2007
Before Christ ascended He told His stragglers that they would be His witnesses in Jerusalem, and then Judea (Acts 1:8). And that's just what happened, though they in no way planned ahead for this. The earliest church was scattered by uncontrollable circumstances, so that they were turned into an outreaching church whether they wanted to or not.
In return for their persistent obedience to God's Spirit, the early church received severe persecution, which was the driving force of their scattering. It should be striking to us that God blessed their obedience with unheard-of hardship. However,... (read more)

20. Brits See Through The God Excuse And See Hate Crimes
November 06, 2007
Some will kick around the new British hate crime proposal as a stellar violation of free speech and freedom of religion, but in an evolved society based on reason and responsibility, when language is used to incite violence, persecution and oppression of a class of people, it is as damaging as sticks and stones no matter how you cut it. Under a new proposed British law, a number of United States politicians, including members of Congress, prominent members of the American clergy and certain members of the United States military would be subject to up to 7 years of imprisonment. Fred Phelps wou... (read more)

21. Spiritual Abuse...The Modern Day Pharisee
September 02, 2007
“Spiritual Abuse”, a catch phrase coined in recent years by Author’s David Johnson & Jeff VanVonderen, is as old as organized religion itself. For most, the historical events which best portray spiritual abuse include the Holy Wars, The Inquisition, the persecution of many eastern Europeans at the hands of the Orthodox church. While many would consider spiritual abuse to be a seldom occurring event today, truthfully, it is very prevalent in the Christian Church, including mainline evangelical churches.
Spiritual abuse is the misuse of an office or position of power, leadership, lay leader... (read more)

Celebrated as the inventor of development milestones such as the compass and printing, China is aspiring to become a global player in science and technology in the 21st century, casting off decades of neglect of academia and political persecution of intellectuals.
