Tipping when fishing
Tipping in Guatemala is not widely practiced - although it has become the norm in certain services, particularly - as you would expect - in any provided directly to tourists and foreigners. 3. Fishing in Guatemala
September 10, 2009
Fishing in Guatemala Season Summary 200-2009 Copyright © 2009 The Greatfishing Company The most popular time for fishing in Guatemala is the dry season - or approximately November through May. 4.
Top Five Museums of the Weird
July 27, 2009
A lot of people think museums are boring. They're filled with all that old stuff and if you want to know what something is, then you have to read. Boring! So for those looking for an alternative to the same old "history lesson in a building" that comes from most traditional museum visits, I offer these five fun, weird and wacky museums. 1. The Museum of Bad Art - Located in Dedham Square just outside of Boston, this is a shrine to all things hackneyed and misguided in the world of art. Stressing that its not about incompetence, the museum's website notes that their collection is "from the... (read more)

EBay started out as a small auction site named Auction Web. Long before the words "how to sell on eBay" were first uttered, eBay's founder Pierre Omidyar was learning his computer programming craft by skipping out of gym class, spending time on his science teacher's computer.

May 06, 2009
Who doesn't remember PEZ?!? While this candy and the dispensers came out way before I was born in 1927 it still was a huge part of my childhood in the 80s and for many others as well! There is just something about the candy flavors and the little PEZ dispensers that allow you to be a kid again! If you like these dispensers or you are a collector of them, then you probably are on the look out for new ones you may not have as of yet. 10. Sweet Music to Our Ears - When PEZ Went Hi-Tech
April 27, 2009
Who doesn't love PEZ? The cute little dispensers with the interchangeable heads that flip back to give us our sweets on demand are a hit with kids and collectors, alike. What could be more low-tech than a design that's been around since the 1950's? What could be more low-tech than a plastic rectangular tube topped with a colorful plastic head? My personal favorite is a Yoda I got back in middle school about 20 years ago. There is nothing absolutely whatsoever hi-tech about PEZ. But, as they say, all good things come to those who wait. It took a clever guy with a creative streak and an idea who... (read more)

15. Acid Reflux Controlled by Taking Ginger Capsules?
August 10, 2008
"Kim, where are the antacids?" I heard that all too familiar sound. "Your not supposed to take them everyday," I replied. My husband who doesn't even take an aspirin for an occasional headache was popping antacids like they were coming from a pez dispenser. Knowing he would never go to the Doctor to treat his acid reflux disease, I set out to find an alternative remedy. I have always taken herbs, so I decided that is where I'll start. After reading some material on the subject, I narrowed it down to ginger. Ginger is used to settle an upset stomach I reasoned, so why not try that first? W... (read more)
