5. Burma Reports Polio Outbreak Near Bangladesh Border May 09, 2007 Officials in Burma have reported a new outbreak of polio near the country's western border with Bangladesh. Reports Wednesday said the outbreak of the potentially crippling disease occurred in Rakhine state. Reuters news agency cites an health ministry official as saying two children were infected.
