Stroll down the paths that wind through the Callaway Brother’s Azalea Bowl, or visit in the spring to be dazzled by the Overlook Azalea Garden. Other walking paths take you through the Meadowlark Garden, and after visiting the butterfly conservatory, stroll through the Thornhill Hydrangea Garden. Other Buildings Visit the Ida Carson Callaway Memorial Chapel, built with local materials including fieldstone quartz and featuring dazzling, nature-themed stained-glass windows. There is a non-denominational service each Sunday morning for you to attend if you wish. The Pioneer Log Cabin offers a peek into the past. Built in the 1830s, this 2-room home last housed a 15-member family and offers a reminder about how difficult life used to be when chores and the effort to survive filled your days.
