1. BORN TO DIE
October 26, 2009
You may want to give this a moment’s thought: everyone is born to live but only Jesus Christ was born to die. It was God’s will for Him. And that was because of you and me. ‘We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way; and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all….Yet it was the Lord’s will to crush him and cause him to suffer, and though the Lord makes his life a guilt offering, he will see his offspring and prolong his days, and the will of the Lord will prosper in his hand.’ - Isaiah 53:6 and 10(NIV). ‘For God so loved the world that he gave his one and... 2. What Happened at the Resurrection
September 24, 2009
The Resurrection of Jesus was the greatest event that ever took place, either in the sense realm or the spiritual realm. Satan is defeated, and Jesus has taken back the authority that was once on Adam, and has given it to mankind to be used in the earth just as God intended.
His last cry on the Cross was "My God, My God, why hast thou forsaken me" (Matthew 27:46). Jesus took on sin by faith just as we accept His righteousness by faith. We as Christians need to take on the Holy Spirit's account of what happened at the crucifiction as Matthew, Mark, Luke and John only give us part of what ... (read more)

5. The Church of the Holy Sepulcher
August 31, 2009
The Church of the Holy Sepulchre, also called the Church of Resurrection, is the most important and holiest church in the world. It is even considered to be holier than the Vatican. It was originally built by the mother of Emperor Constantine in 330 A.D. It is located within the walled Old City of Jerusalem. “And when they were come unto a place called Golgotha, that is to say, a place of a skull.” Matthew 27:33 Jesus was crucified at Golgotha, or the Rock of Cavalry, around which the Church of the Holy Sepulchre was later built. Jesus did not leave us without hope. Because of His resurrection, those things in our lives that have to be healed can be raised up by His supernatural power. This is the time of year when flowers are blooming and trees are beginning to bud, but sometimes everything isn't coming up roses for me and you, personally. 8. A Extraordinary Look at Easter by David Barton
August 13, 2009
This Sun. is Easter -- maybe the most significant date on the Christian calendar, for had there been no resurrection of Jesus Christ, Christianity would have very little to advise it from other religions whose founders still lie in their graves. As the Apostle Paul affirmed in Romans 14 [*CO]'He was declared to be the child of God with power, according to the tradition of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead.' Easter is actually a time of joy and celebration for the Christian, but it's also more. As an example, Founding father Charles Carroll, signer of the announcement of independen... (read more)

10. How Many Women Visited the Tomb of Jesus?
July 27, 2009
Sometimes we hear about contradictions in the Bible and it is in an effort by Satan to sway us and turn us away from God. One that was heard just recently was that the Gospels report different numbers of women who visited the tomb of Yeshua early on the first day of the week nearly 2,000 years ago. It is not certain as to why this is considered to be a contradiction. However, we will clear up this misconception today. We will list the reporting Gospel verses below. Matthew 28:1 (KJV) 1 …came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre. Mark 16:1-2 (KJV) 1 …Ma... (read more)

June 18, 2009
In my time of prayer and meditation on the word throughout the day I feel a definite leading in the Holy Spirit that I am not focusing on bringing the word of God to people the right way.
While I do not feel at all convicted for teaching on the deeper things of the word of God I do feel that my focus that back to the Gospel.
What I mean by that is not simply that all I focus on should be the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ and proclaiming that to the lost, though that should be a huge focus. I mean focusing as a minister on the Gospel and the major doctrines surroundin... (read more)

13. Breadth of Mind and the Bible - An Illustrative, Philosophical View
May 11, 2009
There are three systems from which human thought springs: Humanism, Naturalism and Theism. It is doubtful anyone is a purist in any one train of thought - so, each holds some degree of a mishmash. When conflicting conclusions are reached on a subject, it may prove helpful to trace back each conclusion and identify from which fount it springs. The real question then becomes, “Which system is actually the most sound?” To answer this requires an understanding of each thought system - honestly pitted against each another - and honestly weighed.

April 07, 2009
Easter commemorates the resurrection of Jesus Christ. It is the most important Christian festival, and the one celebrated with the greatest joy. The date of Easter changes each year, and several other Christian festivals fix their dates by reference to Easter. Churches are filled with flowers, and there are special hymns and songs. But not all Easter customs are Christian; some, such as the Easter Bunny, are Pagan in origin. 17. Lincoln's Tomb and Jesus' Tomb
March 29, 2009
My wife and I went to visit Lincoln’s Tomb yesterday, March 21, 2009, in Springfield, Illinois. I must say it is a massive structure, very impressive, and quite a sight to see in a very scenic setting. As for the cemetery itself I guess one could say as cemeteries go this was and is as beautiful a cemetery as one is likely to see anywhere. It is very hilly with giant oak trees and quiet as cemeteries generally are, very well kept. It was for me a melancholy occasion. The tomb, or mausoleum, was dark and quiet and one felt as if he was indeed in the presence of death and the dead. I c... (read more)

18. Easter Gift Baskets
March 24, 2009
Easter is the most important religious feast in the Christian liturgical year. Christians believe that Jesus was resurrected from the dead three days after his crucifixion, and celebrate this resurrection on Easter Day, or Easter Sunday, two days after Good Friday. The year of his death and resurrection is variously estimated between the years 26 and 36 AD. Easter signifies new hope and fresh starts. For Christians, Easter signifies the divinity of Jesus when he rose from the dead. For others, Easter is also special as it signifies the end of the cold winter and opens to the new life of sprin... 21. Reflections on Matthew 22: 23 - 40 The Resurrection of the Dead
November 24, 2008
Read Matthew 22: 23 – 40 In the reading, it was stated that the Sadducees claimed that there is no resurrection. They tried to trap Jesus in his own words by asking Him who rightfully owns that woman who was seven times marries (on different occasions) to seven brothers. From the way they questioned Jesus, it was obvious that they think resurrection to be a continuation of one’s life on earth. They thought that the woman will continue being a wife to her husband, that’s why the Sadducees asked Jesus who rightfully owns her. The soul is sometimes conceived to be a part of one’s body. 22. Why Does The Easter Bunny Lay Eggs
November 20, 2008
The celebration of the easter holiday is ambiguous at best. Many are taught that easter is the remembrance of the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Nonetheless, nowhere in The New Testament is a Divine directive to celebrate easter found. Early Christians had no notion of the idea of sanctifying special times.
Ephesians 5:10,11 Keep on making sure of what is acceptable to the Lord; and quit sharing with them in the unfruitful works that belong to the darkness, but, rather, even be reproving of them.

24. He Is Risen: Why Christ's Resurrection Was a Historical Event
March 28, 2008
"After the Sabbath, at dawn on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to look at the tomb. There was a violent earthquake, for an angel of the Lord came down from heaven and, going to the tomb, rolled back the stone and sat on it. His appearance was like lightning, and his clothes were white as snow. The guards were so afraid of him that they shook and became like dead men. The angel said to the women, "Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay.” (...
