1. Is The Roman Catholic Church Christian?
February 13, 2012
Where to start? First let’s define what Christianity is…
The base of Christianity is defined by doctrines found in the Holy Bible. Is it just a belief in Jesus the Messiah? Well Mormons and even the Devil believe in Christ. So “belief” in Jesus does not make you a “Christian” per se. You must believe the Bible as it is clear that Jesus is God in flesh and the creator of everything.
There is essential doctrine to follow, but I will focus on only a couple for the sake of brevity; The Roman Catholic Church breaks two essential doctrines. 1) They promote Mary and the Saints to a God-like... (read more)

2. What's Up with Roman Catholic Teaching on Salvation?
February 11, 2012
Is it possible to be a Christian if you are to follow the Official Roman Catholic teaching on Salvation? Let’s look at the Catholic position on it. We will see that the Roman Catholic position is contrary to Bible Scripture!
There is a process in the Catholic System to attaining Salvation. First God grants actual grace to the person to be able to believe in Christ and the truth of the Catholic Church (CCC 2000). After the person believes, they must be Baptized (CCC 1257), which infuses Grace into the person (CCC 1999) thus erasing original sin (CCC 405). After the Baptism and the Catho... (read more)

February 08, 2012
The list with the disgruntled was longer, but until the reformation no-one proved adequate on the task of opposing the church, but now the specific situation was right. 8. Apologetics: Are Christian Apologists Losing Focus?
February 08, 2012
I was humbled recently or should I say slapped in the face by my own hand? It was brought to my attention yesterday that during a “debate” with a Roman Catholic, that when things started heating up as sometimes they do, my focus on Jesus was lost. It then became a matter of pride and not Glorifying Jesus Christ. Sure there was vitriol and some name calling however is that what Jesus would want? I must quote the famous Bible passage that is the cornerstone of all Apologists and Christians called to “defend” the faith;
1 Peter 3: 15 (NASB) 15 but sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts, al... (read more)

9. The Apocryphal Books: Bible Worthy?
February 07, 2012
I have noticed that many Catholic believers will go to great detail as to why they think that the Holy Bible is “incomplete”, because the “Hidden Books” or as more commonly known as the Apocryphal books are not included. There are many reasons why they were not included.
To begin with, The Catholic Church itself did not always accept them. They were not even officially accepted until 1546 at The Council of Trent, 1500 years plus after they were written! In fact many today say that it was basically a reaction to the Protestant Reform. Fathers of the early Catholic Church such as Origen, At... (read more)

11. Justification: The Bible vs. Roman Catholicism
February 02, 2012
Does this title seem a bit strange to you? How can there be a difference in belief or interpretation of Justification between the Bible and the Roman Catholic Church?
Let us first examine the definition of the word “Justification”. “Justification” is the legal declaration by God upon the sinner where God declares the sinner righteous in his eyes.
Biblically speaking Justification is set entirely on the work of Jesus the Messiah on the Cross, not by “our” works. There is no other way to attain justification and that includes any works that we do. If we say we can earn our own justif... (read more)

13. Legislating Morals - The Problem for Family Planning
January 25, 2012
The Roman Catholic Bishops of America announced at their annual Fall Assembly in Baltimore this month that they are recasting their battle against abortion, contraception and GLBTQ rights as a fight for “religious liberty.”
At first this gave me pause. Has my “bleeding heart liberal bias” made me so blind that I willfully trample on others “religious liberty” in defense of what I consider human rights? I believe in the freedom to pursue parenthood or not based on your own moral code and circumstances. I believe in the freedom to live and express yourself openly as long as you are not cau...
