Computers can be pretty annoying, and there are a bunch of things that can go wrong that will wreck your day. However, with a bit of education and research, you can easily rectify some of the things that can go wrong with your PC. There are a few very common problems that people tend to run into that have some very easy solutions. Sometimes there are even software programs that can help you to easily fix errors and other problems with a simple update or a file fix. Let’s take a look at some of the most common computer problems and a few easy solutions. |
Slow and sluggish computers. This is a very common problem and can be a real headache. The best way to deal with this is to clean out your computer, as the most common cause of a slow and sluggish computer is a clutter of files and folders. Other times malware and adware can sneak onto your computer without your knowledge and really slow things down quite a bit. This can truly be annoying when your computer starts to take forever to boot up. The first step here would be to go through and uninstall any programs that you don’t need. Look in the add/remove programs list in the Control Panel and see if there’s anything suspicious or new. See if you can uninstall it from there. Sometimes you might have to do it twice. Restart the computer and make sure it’s gone. After this you might want to clean out the registry. One type of program that you can use in order to really clean things out of the registry is a registry cleaner –a specific software program that cleans extra entries out of the registry.
Another way to speed up a slow and sluggish computer is to update the RAM. The RAM is the physical measure of how much your computer can do and process at any time. Think of it as your desk size – the bigger a desk you have, the more papers and other things you can have out at one time. You can purchase and install RAM for a fairly reasonable price, and I think it’s one of the best ways to really update your computer. It’s not that hard to install even if you’re not that much of a computer person; all it takes is a few simple instructions and you’ll be all set.
