Reading is an important thing for every intelligent person. One cannot find out this world without reading. With the appearance of Internet, people began to buy fewer books, but nothing can substitute them. It is a great source of knowledge and world’s secrets. If you haven’t read, at least, one book in the last 90 days, you are not going to gain success. Ask all the millionaires: all of them are reading books every day, even now, when they are already rich. As for the students, it’s sometimes difficult to make them read literature. Many of them are lazy and don’t find reading quite essential. They would better watch a movie and will find out everything from it. There are a lot of different methods to cultivate love in students for reading. Of course, not all of them are suitable for each, but some can be perfect for some. TIPS FOR READING Being a teacher or instructor at a university, you should do everything to make your students read more. First of all you should read by yourself and share this experience with them. It’s really simple to start reading by yourself, nothing difficult, but it must be for pleasure. Choose various novels, instructions and many other things. Read more than you have read the previous time. It’s also great to share your reading experience with others. You can tell your students, friends and colleagues about a book, which impressed you. Tell them what you have found and learned from it. It’s also great to bring this book with you and show your students. This will encourage them to take it and even start reading. It’s so great to start listening to audio books. Tell you students about the last one you have listened. They may be more interested in them, which can become the first step to love a real book with paper pages. You can even choose one interesting book and listen to it with your students. After that discuss it and learn what interesting points everyone has found from it. Audio book is a great way to listen to many stories, enjoy them and spend time with pleasure. Listening to a book in a foreign language can also be very beneficial – this will help to enrich your vocabulary. One more variant to encourage your students for reading is to invite some local authors to speak in front of them. If you have some writers as friends, it wouldn’t a big problem. In any case, these people would be happy to be invited to speak in front of young people. WHY SHOULD YOU READ? For many reading is not a daily habit. It’s really sad, because it means that some people do not read at all! Who are they? Their life is limited to Facebook and Twitter pages. If you are a student you should read every day. It should become a habit, because reading has a number of positive influences, listed below: KNOWLEDGE Every page you read fills your head with knowledge, bits of information. You don’t know when it can be really useful to you. If there is more information in your head, you would have fewer difficulties in tackling various issues. It can happen so that you can lose everything: job, career, business, university but you will never lose your knowledge. IT IMPROVES MEMORY When reading a book, you should remember a lot of information, its characters, chapters, pages, main thoughts and authors. Your memory is working and training. If you are constantly engaged in this activity, with time it will become easy for your brain to remember this or that nuance. Moreover, reading books will give you a chance not to use writing help websites for writing an essay at university. BETTER CONCENTRATION A contemporary world can draw your attention in million places at the same time. Sometimes your head is full of everything, that it’s even difficult to take a breath. When reading, you concentrate all your attention onto the pages and nothing can distract you. You are absorbing every detail written. Reading 20 minutes before university, will help to become concentrated and focused for the whole day.
