The US Southeast is the eastern portion of the Southern United States, but the Census Bureau does not provide a standard definition of a "Southeast" region of the United States, and organizations that need to subdivide the US are free to define a "Southeast" region to fit their needs. Bermuda is not actually one island, but several that are part of a coral reef. Bermuda is rather small, occupying only 20 square miles. It is located in the North Atlantic Ocean about 750 miles east of the Southeastern United States. The ocean waters modify its climate, so that it has mild winters and warm summers. Rainfall is nearly evenly distributed throughout the year. Most months get between four to five inches of rainfall. Relative humidity is between 70-80% throughout the year.
