July 25, 2011
Hollywood celebrities are notorious for their involvement in a wide variety of crimes, large and small, ranging from shoplifting (Winona Ryder) to murder (Phil Spector). And yet despite the town's obsession with serial killers, it is a rare instance for an actor to be involved in a case involving a string of homicides. Your boss and other leaders in your company are some of the most important people in your life. You need to build strong relationships with them. Yet, you have to be careful about stepping over the line. USA Today had an interesting article on brown nosing. I don't like the connotations that come with the term "brown nosing." 19. Jury Foreman in Phil Spector Trial Reports Impasse
September 19, 2007
The jury foreman in the murder trial of Phil Spector reported Tuesday that jurors were at a seven-to-five impasse after seven days of deliberation. He did not indicate which way the jury was leaning.
Superior Court Judge Larry Paul Fidler said he is considering giving jurors the option of finding the record producer guilty of a lesser charge than second degree murder, a move which Spector's defense team will likely oppose.
Legal scholars said dropping the charge to involuntary manslaughter could make a conviction vulnerable to appeal. Fidler had previously rejected the option of letting juro... (read more)
