Our youth group at church needs to boost cash for a trip that the members need to make. The journey is to attend a youth rally in the neighboring state. The trip may even embrace an overnight stay at a big water park near the rally sight. We've got already performed some fund elevating; but we try to provide you with new ideas. We have already had a bake sale. This was a good cash maker, but we did not know if another one in a short while can be nicely received. One lady instructed that we make up cookie reward bins for the holidays. This gave the impression of an interesting idea. The girl explained that the cookie present containers may include what ever variety of cookies we would select and the bins could be as elaborate or simple as we wanted to make them. People would buy the cookie gift packing containers to give as items or to set out for guests. We decided that we wanted to do this. The children have been excited as a result of most of them take pleasure in making cookies. We had several weekends earlier than the holidays so we thought we'd start with two totally different sizes of the cookie reward boxes. One dimension would feature an assortment of two dozen cookies and the larger measurement would have 4 dozen. We determined to have three forms of cookies. We selected spritz, because a number of group members had the cookie presses and they are simple and cheap to make. Filbert balls as a result of they give the impression of being nice with out having to embellish and the normal reduce out cookies. The children wished the lower out cookies so they might have a frosting get together within the fellowship area. We want to keep the fund raising actions enjoyable so we agreed to the frosting party. For the packing containers we went to an area cake and candy supply store. They have quite a lot of containers. We purchased several decorative containers that had vacation themes and then a number of plain white containers that could possibly be adorned by the youth group members. We made twenty bins of each size. Our value for the cookie present bins was minimal as a result of most of us donated the substances for the cookies. We had priced holiday cookie trays at the native grocery store and bakery and located that they charged over $3.00/dozen. We thought this was costly but because this was a fund raiser we decided we might cost $8.00 for the small box and $15.00 for the larger box. We thought that we may drop the worth the second weekend if they did not sell. The cookie gift bins had been an enormous success. We sold out in minutes the first weekend and had individuals requesting to be positioned on an order listing for the second weekend. In addition to selling the cookie reward bins we positioned a donation basket by the pay station. By the top of the third weekend we had raised sufficient money to pay for the rally and water park prices, with extra cash left over for the following event.
