Yahweh is the English rendering of ???????, a vocalization of the Tetragrammaton ???? that was proposed by the Hebrew scholar Wilhelm Gesenius in the 19th century. The stem of the name Yahweh ( Yah-) remains widely accepted but disagreements continue on the ending ( -weh). This pronunciation and spelling, as with many religious and scholarly issues, remains the subject of ongoing debate. [1]According to the Bible, Yahweh is the personal name of the one true God who delivered Israel from Egypt and gave the Ten Commandments, "Then God spoke all these words. He said, ‘I am Yahweh your God who brought you out of Egypt, where you lived as slaves. You shall have no other gods to rival me.’”[2] Yahweh revealed himself to Israel as a jealous God who would not permit his people to make idols or follow gods of other nations[3] or worship gods known by other names, "I am Yahweh, that is My name; I will not give My glory to another, or my praise to idols."[4] Yahweh demanded the role of the one true God in the hearts and minds of Israel, "Hear, Israel Yahweh is our God; Yahweh is one and you shall love Yahweh your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your might."[5] The 7th-11th century Masoretic Text vocalises the Hebrew term ???? as ??????? (YeHoWah/JeHoVaH). The Masoretic text underlies the Old Testament of the most circulated Bible of the Christian world, the King James Version, as well as many of the other English language versions. However, this vocalization had been disputed by Hebrew scholars from as early as 1604 A.D. In the 19th century, the Jehovah vocalisation was rejected by major Hebrew scholars, who did not believe that it accurately represented the original pronunciation;[6] based on Epiphanius's Greek transcription ?aße (representing Yave) of a term used by some Gnostic circles, Gesenius proposed ??????? as the correction.[6] However, the form Yahweh is also criticized.[7] According to Exodus, Yahweh appeared to Moses in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush.[8] Yahweh said to Moses, “I am the God of your father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.”[9] Yahweh further said, “I have surely seen the affliction of my people who are in Egypt, and have heard their cry because of their taskmasters, for I know their sorrows. I have come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up out of that land to a good and large land, to a land flowing with milk and honey; to the place of the Canaanite, the Hittite, the Amorite, the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite. Now, behold, the cry of the children of Israel has come to me. Moreover I have seen the oppression with which the Egyptians oppress them. Come now therefore, and I will send you to Pharaoh, that you may bring my people, the children of Israel, out of Egypt.”[10]

1. The Bible Foretells Tribulation and Judgment From God On Both Christians and Sinners Alike
November 02, 2009
Do you know that the Scripture testifies that in these last days that the spirit of judgment will be visited upon the earth, on both the saved, and on the unsaved? For the Holy Spirit's purging work is constantly at work among those that are His to bring them to maturity. He allows many and difficult tribulations in the life of a Believer to aide in this purging process, where faith is built and the works of the flesh are put aside. The Apostle Peter described this process in these words, “....for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin.” (1Peter 4:1b KJV) It is the Lord'... (read more)

2. A Lesson For The Christian Of God's Provision- Examples From The Israelite's Time In the Wilderness
October 22, 2009
In the first chapter of the book of Numbers we find Yahweh speaking to His servant Moses while He was in the Tabernacle. The Scripture testifies that it was on the fist day of the second month of the second year since they had been released from their captures in Egypt. (Numbers 1:1) So this means that they had spent some time now as free men under the government of Yahweh led by His servants Moses and Aaron. On this occasion setting Yahweh commanded Moses to number the men of all the tribes of Israel who were 20 years and older, as many as were able to go forth to war. The total of the twe... (read more)

3. The Bible Story Of Noah-Is It a Fable, Or A Picture Of The Future Judgment and Salvation Of God?
October 21, 2009
True to the nature of the wisest of story tellers the Sovereign One, who is called Yahweh by the Hebrews, caused to be formulated in the ancient Scriptures a story that men of unbelieving hearts often refer to as something of a fairy tale.(Genesis 6:1—9:1) But to the believing, whose understanding as been opened, it can be a very revealing testimony of the judgment of God to come upon this world and the salvation offered to those that have set their hearts to believe and follow the one and only true Son of God: Jesus of Nazareth. (Acts 4:12) Can Christ and His salvation be seen in the ancien... (read more)

4. Letter to God
October 01, 2009
Dear Yahweh,
I am sorry for having not written to You sooner. It seems that I have just got caught up with everything the Adversary has thrown at me lately. I should have listened to You much more these past several months, but I am weak. I know how You told me to be “in the world” and not “of the world”. Don’t get me wrong--I am not trying to make excuses for my shortcomings. Sometimes it just seems that You are distant from me. No, that is wrong! I am distant from You! I am trying desperately to rectify that situation.
I know how much You love me! I fear that my love for You is not... (read more)

5. Set Apart for What?
June 16, 2009
Let’s talk about Abraham to see how he was set apart. When we read Genesis, we know that Abraham came from the city of Ur. Modern archeology tells us that Ur was a sophisticated and lively city, located along the Euphrates River in modern day Iraq, about 200 miles from Bagdad. It’s interesting to note that the people of Ur worshipped the moon god. The moon god was the patron god to the city of Ur.
Genesis 15:7 “When Yahweh appeared to Abraham in a dream, the Lord said: I am the Lord, who brought you out of Ur of the Chaldeans to give you this land to take possession of it.”

May 19, 2009
To The Believing, and To Those Who May Learn To Believe:
He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence. He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler. Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day; Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness;... (read more)

8. By God's Wisdom, What Should The Actions Of A Man Toward A Woman Be? Will They Promote Feminism?
April 28, 2009
The Eternal Creator designed and built the human persons as living mortal illustrations of both Himself and the single great treasure of His heart, the Church. He created the male person, which grows to manhood to represent Himself, the female person, which grows to womanhood to represent the Church, or individual Believer. This is the nuts and bolts, or the bottom line foundational premise of the great mystery that the Apostle Paul spoke of in Ephesians 5:22-33. The particular, very wisdom of which is being revealed to truth seekers in these lasts days before the advent of a new era... (read more)

9. Bible Insights Into President Obama's Order To Kill The Somalian Pirates, And The Death Penalty
April 16, 2009
Hey America, President Obama, US Naval Seals, and Captain Phillips:
The Holy Scripture teaches that honor is to be given to whom honor is due, tribute to whom tribute is due. Therefore, in the spirit of that admonition I will speak of aspects of the recent piracy act where an American sea Captain was held as hostage. Captain Phillips, showing both bravery and compassion volunteered himself to be held while begging the release of some of his fellow ship mates. This is commendable. For it is written: “Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his f... (read more)

10. Am I Going To Hell Because I Had Premarital Sex
November 24, 2008
Is sex considered taboo by the Bible? Careful consideration of the Gospel will provide the answer. We are all sexual creatures to the extent that without sex our capacity to reproduce is limited at best. Certainly science has established techniques of embryonic development that forego the sex act, however, these techniques are costly and, more importantly, not the manner in which God expects us to procreate. Since God is the source of life and humans were created to reflect his qualities, our capability to transmit life via sexual relations should be treated with the utmost respect.

11. Holy Trinity Myth Or Reality
November 21, 2008
The holy trinity is a befuddling belief at best, even for those that practice it. Purported in this doctrine is the belief that there are three divine persons the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost . Other statements of the dogma unequivocally state that these three “Persons” are not separate, distinct individuals; rather they are the three modes that encompass the whole of the divine being. Due to this belief, some Trinitarians claim that Jesus Christ is God, or that Jesus and the Holy Ghost are Jehovah. The Gospel does not teach of such a thing.
The New Testament does not contain the wo... (read more)

12. Why Does God Allow Suffering
November 21, 2008
The humans living on the earth are a large part of the cause of suffering on the earth. Humans pollute the environment, commit crimes, fight wars, act dishonestly in business dealings and commit many other deeds that offend God. In the commission of such acts, humans hurt not only themselves, but others as well. Should humans expect to be impervious from the consequences of what they do?

13. Do Not Create An Embolism With Cross Symbolism
November 21, 2008
Various objects, that have been dated to be from eras long prior to the Christian era, have been located, marked with crosses of one design or other, in virtually every part of the world. Egypt, India, Syria and Persia have all presented myriad examples of the cross as a religious symbol in pre-Christian times and it may be considered a universal symbol among pre-Christian people. In a great number of cases it has been associated with nature worship.
The roots of the two-beamed cross have been discovered in ancient Chaldea. It was used as the symbol of the god Tammuz in Chaldea and adjace... (read more)

14. Why Does The Easter Bunny Lay Eggs
November 20, 2008
The celebration of the easter holiday is ambiguous at best. Many are taught that easter is the remembrance of the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Nonetheless, nowhere in The New Testament is a Divine directive to celebrate easter found. Early Christians had no notion of the idea of sanctifying special times.
Ephesians 5:10,11 Keep on making sure of what is acceptable to the Lord; and quit sharing with them in the unfruitful works that belong to the darkness, but, rather, even be reproving of them.
Numerous pagan customs manifest themselves in the celebration of easter. These traditions... (read more)

15. What Does The Cross Mean To You
November 18, 2008
As I was cutting the grass, I had and epiphany. As with all epiphany,
excluding the sudden appearance of Jehovah, it can be considered pure
speculation. Although, I consider it divine inspiration. I was reflecting
upon the Bible and it as the inspired word of Jehovah. Next, I wondered what
rationale lay behind the desire to misrepresent the teachings of the Bible as
is perpetrated by mainstream Christianity.

entertain, that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteo... (read more)

16. Jesus Is Not The Reason For The Season
November 17, 2008
Teaching a child that gifts are brought to good children by Saint Nick, which is a lie, is teaching that child to sin. Endearing Satan‘s values to society at an early age.
The observation of christmas is not a Divine Command, furthermore, there is no scriptural evidence supporting the celebration of christmas. It is impossible to determine Jesus Christ‘s actual birthday from the New Testament, or any other source.

17. Breaking The Quasi Christian Chain
November 17, 2008
This is for all the people that are sick and tired of the good intent that
drives some people into creating quasi-Christian themed chain e-mails. I
realize that these people have only good intentions with these e-mails, and
they intend no harm. However, the path to Hades is lined with good intention.
These people obviously feel there is something lacking in your life and,
guilty by association, you surely must know ten others who are thusly lacking.

this to ten others to prove ... (read more)

18. 5 C's of Parenting
April 20, 2008
If you will dare to care, to correct in love, to share the teachings of charity, and demonstrate genuine concern, you will model responsible parenting principles. Below I’ve detailed a few approaches that promote a strong parent-child relationship and keep the lines of communication open:
Communication: In the eleventh chapter of Deuteronomy, parents were instructed to teach the words of Yahweh to their children, talking about them at home and when away from home. Abraham, in the book of Genesis, was told to educate his children and household to keep the way of the Lord. Likewise, Chri... (read more)

19. The Seal--The Names of God and Becoming Sealed
November 19, 2007
The Seal and the Names of God are synonymous. When you are sealed God writes His Name upon you. First you are sealed in your forehead. Then God writes His Name in your forehead.
There are many Names of God in the Bible. Many more than the most commonly known ones. There is Jehovah or Yahweh the tetragrammaton. There is Adonai and Elohim. And there are many other proper Names the Hebrews used for God.
God is also Elyon, Shaddai, Shekhinah, and Shalom. Sometimes He is called Adir or Strong One, Adon Olam or Master of the World, and Boreh or Creator.
He is I Am That I Am,... (read more)
