A famous author once wrote: “You cannot carry easily and well today’s duties if you pile anxiety concerning the morrow on top of them.”  It’s a medical fact, backed by extensive research and studies, that chronic stress and anxiety can cause and speed up heart disease, clogging of the arteries, high blood pressure, severe digestive problems, diabetes, and impotency to name just a few.  People who suffer from continuous stress are more susceptible to common illnesses such as colds and headaches.  Some even suffer severe symptoms that they need to be brought to hospital for immediate treatment.  Medical emergencies can also add to the stress because it could trigger financial difficulties.  Good thing there are faxless payday loans available online and readily accessible to employees.

To avoid this life-threatening dangers caused by stressful conditions, here’s why exercise and weightlifting could be the ideal answer to the high-stress world of today.  Exercise, even as simple as bench presses, can go a long way in relieving stress.  It could, then, result to subsiding stress or anxiety symptoms by causing adrenaline to be metabolized faster.  At the same time, the body would release endorphins, or its “feel good” hormone.  A surge of endorphins through the body can almost instantaneously reduce pain and decrease respiration and fast heartbeat.  These are natural, as the human body produces it, and its effects are comparable to synthetic drugs normally prescribed to relieve stress.  Examples of such drugs are Valium and Xanax.  Lifting weights could also release this good hormone.  That is why most people who do regular exercises and weightlifting feel invigorated and alert after doing a number of sets.  In addition, regular exercises and weightlifting conditions the pituitary gland (the “master gland” that controls the function of other endocrine glands) to handle stress better.  This gland controls the amount of stress hormones released into the bloodstream.

People who lift weights are trained to achieve deep relaxation and, at the same time, clear thinking.  Deep breathing is one of the ways to ease the stress or anxieties people feel in certain situations.  Progressive muscle relaxation is another good technique.  This involves the tensing of the muscles then relaxing them, which one could get from weightlifting sets.  Health experts advise employees in stressful environments to enroll in a gym.   They could pay the one-time annual fee through payday advances and it will be worth the investment on their health.
