From the moment that the man decided to live in groups, conflict communication, interpersonal and others began to exist. Human behavior has always been researched due to the infinite subjectivity and the way forward for dealing with various situations, however, live in the group brought many issues to be discussed. One comes to social conventions, regardless of whether we are Latin Americans or Europeans, Christians or Buddhists, rich or poor, we are all affected by the moral and ethical standards of behavior which society prevails. Apart from some cultural and religious differences, social convention demanded more respect to the conduct of which a professional should possess. Let's take an example, within the various graduation jokes are about 'how to guess the course of that guy', to observe a man in a suit or a woman's suit ... um, 'certainly makes Right' see someone 'little oriental eyes' ... hum is in the exact sciences and those carrying a coat? Ah, may be medicine, right? Well, this trial tying the garment to the profession, which permeates the trial the company has in relation to the conduct of this training. And these social conventions are often a hindrance to men and women whose natural attitude differs from the standard expected given profession. The philosopher Epictetus once said "the socially learned beliefs tend not to be trusted (...) many people agree with all sincerity that wishes to maintain its own integrity, but at the same time assumes attitudes sabotage their many thoughtless (...) best-intentioned efforts by not standing up to their truth or a moral code very articulate and consistent to base their future actions. " Thus we can say that people who try to change their behavior forced to fit into a pattern of behavior, socially agreed upon, it runs a serious risk for thoughts of inadequacy and powerlessness. A professional, under constant pressure from his boss or director to take certain positions before a client can, for example, during a business lunch in the refined restaurant has thoughts of being judged or criticized by waiters and people around so how to speak in public may have thoughts of failure "that woman staring at me, I have spoken a word wrong" and inadequate "people are looking at me, I must be dirty laundry." If these thoughts were constant professional can develop a social phobia. Until the beginning of the year 1980, the Social Phobia was analyzed as a type of anxiety disorder, the focus of systematic research by the American Psychiatric Association (APA, 1980 and 1987) and the World Health Organization (WHO, 1992). Only in 1994, the APA defines social phobia as a "pronounced and persistent tremor on one or more social or performance situations in public where the person is exposed to strangers or to possible scrutiny by others. The guy is afraid to act in some way (or show anxiety symptoms) that can be humiliating or embarrassing "(APA, 1994, p. 416). Professionals with social phobia try to avoid as much as possible in business situations that need to arrange meetings, attend social parties, talk to people who hold some kind of power / authority, make eye contact with strangers, talk or eat in public, among other attitudes of physical exposure. These routine situations cause uncomfortable physical symptoms such as trembling hands, palpitations, sweating, muscle tension, feeling of emptiness in the stomach, dry mouth, chills (whether by cold or heat), flushing and headaches. The treatment of social phobia through cognitive psychotherapy is the best known and recognized as effective. Is initially based on breathing techniques and relaxation to the patient recognize the body as an extension of your mind and what you can control, followed by changes in social beliefs that have resulted in behavioral changes.
