I knew that I had let myself go over the last few months, I had put on 10 pounds in weight and I did not like it. I couldn’t understand the change in me - I had always been a member at my local gym and had never let myself get this sluggish. I really think that I had gotten depressed over the winter and had far too many treats! I had to do something about it. My membership at the gym had expired just after the New Year and due to my sluggish attitude I had not renewed it. I had a little bit of money saved as I wanted to treat myself to a holiday during the year. I was not going to go on any summer holiday looking the way I did so I decided to head to my local Bilka store and check out their large range of fitness equipment they had on offer. I had spare bedroom in my apartment that I could transform into a gym! I really loved to go to Bilka. You could get absolutely anything you need there. I knew I would find excatly the fitness equipment I was looking for without spending a crazy amount of money! I had in mind what I wanted - a treadmill, cross trainer and a multi gym with all the weights - I needed to badly tone my arms and legs. I was determined to get back in shape before the end of the winter and even more determined to remain in shape. As soon as I got to the fitness equipment section, I headed straight for the free member of staff. I wanted to be advised on the best range that they sold. The very helpful young girl told me that it is quite normal to be feeling blue and depressed during the winter and that exercisng would lift my mood and get me feeling better. She really knew what she was talking about. She asked me if I use and MP3 player and informed me that I could hook up to the fitness equipment they sold, so I would not have to worry about music while I work out, and that using music while training would help me to get more motivated. I could even buy a treadmill with a TV included in it! I really was impressed by her level of service and how friendly she was. She really made me feel at ease and offered me many advices on what equipment to purchase. I was even able to try out the fitness equipment and was very happy with the choice that she had helped me make. After spending a considerable amount on regaining back my figure I left Bilka feeling ready to get back in shape. Not only did I get great advice on what fitness equipment to buy but also some great advice on how to avoid getting the winter blues…. Eat good nutrious food and workout regularly to get those endorphins flowing through my body. But I knew that, didn’t I?!
