In this modern world where food seems to be the most favored thing to comfort and soothe the weary body and mind, it is no surprise that many people are becoming overweight or even obese. Whether you believe this or not, self-motivation is at times not sufficient to shed off those extra pounds. At present, one of the emerging ways to effectively lose weight is through the social weight loss. This weight challenge can indeed motivate people because it pushes them to disprove the connotation “I bet you cannot do it”. When you venture into a weight loss competition, especially with your family or friends, you will be pushed to work harder and achieve your desired outcome. You can turn this inclination to your advantage and the good news is everyone becomes a winner because everyone loses weight. In losing weight, several temptations surround you wherever you go. These may keep you off from doing your exercises. Being able to wear that sexy dress is of course a good reward for losing weight. But you need more concrete incentives to make you more focused and determined to go on with your weight loss challenge. For example, when you are working, you are motivated to do your best at work because your boss gives you some incentives or rewards. These could be monetary, a raise in your salary or a promotion to a higher position in the company. You can ask your family and friends to reward you if you are doing very well in your weight loss program
