Eating yogurt daily not only will heal a fungal infection but will also prevent them. With the various treatments available for fungi infections some are more tasteful than others as well as smelly good and bad. As long as the nail is primed and ready to take the treatment then it would seem any of these would help. If the nail is breaking up and peeling you should keep it trimmed as close as you can with causing pain. Some type of disinfectant should be used on clippers or anything that is used to work in the fungi area to prevent further spread.
