When somebody says “Man’s best friend”, who comes to mind? I bet you’re thinking of the little furry 4 legged friend that waits for you to get off work, barks when an unknown person walks through the door, and waits nest to the dining room table for you to drop a bite of the good stuff. Dogs are extremely caring pets that will do anything for their owner and especially in regards to protecting them. Maybe this is why a lot of individuals do all they can to keep their animals safe as well. Something you have to know regarding dogs is they know when you’re sad or ill, this is one thing we as humans don’t know about our pets. The issue with this is that although your pet may act normal and play around with you like they usually do, there may still be an underlying problem. One of the major issues with dogs is the fact that they can easily get heartworms which are simply parasites that are held by mosquitoes. In order to keep your pet safe and healthy one of the simplest and most useful methods is to simply feed your dog Heartgard. Heartgard is a tiny pill that you feed your dog once a month, the pill looks similar to a dog treat so the odds of your pet swallowing it are like 1 million to 1. As you most likely already know dogs are very intelligent animals and because of this they may figure you out and quit taking it, when this takes place just hide the pill in a slice of ham or push it in a hot dog. This always works because a lot of dogs are so excited to get meat that they do not even chew and because of that they will never even realize they ate the pill. How many times do you take your dog to the vet? Do you recall what the bill was after you left? The reason I mention this is because most veterinary bills will be a lot higher than your Heartgard medication will be for a full year. What most individuals do not understand are the cautionary measures are much less expensive than the medication that you will have to give your pet in order to control the symptoms. If you would like to ensure that you don’t have to pay a large vet bill and that your dog is safe and happy then do yourself a major favor and get heartgard before it is too late. In regards to keeping “Man’s best friend” alive and healthy almost everybody individuals would spare no expense to make that happen, so why don’t you take it upon yourself to make sure that your dog is never in a spot to have to have veterinary assistance. My recommendation to you is that in order to keep your best friend and most likely another member of the family alive and happy you need to do everything you can to prevent heartworms from wrecking havoc on your dogs heart and lungs. Just remember if you need something a little stronger than Heartgard then get heartgard plus.
