Pan is a great technique to use if you want special effects in traditional photography to create fashion. You can make interesting pictures in the camera without digital manipulation and Photoshop filters. As previous articles about Creative Lighting, you will be using similar techniques and settings on your digital SLR camera. For a start, panning is created when you follow a moving subject with the camera, taking pictures with a long shutter speed. Here are a few tips to get you started. When taking pictures for my wedding photography business, I use the panning technique, especially during the reception. This special effect is great for dancing photos, especially line or circle dances popular in many European and Middle Eastern cultures. Use this technique to a large group of people, holding hands and circle around the bride and groom in the middle of the dance floor. You want to capture the audience, as it revolves around the happy couple and their movement. Take a position in the middle so that the dancers can see inside. To give the image a sense of movement, you must use a slow shutter speed. Since 1/60 of the lowest shutter speed to stop action, you can slow things down from there. Try to keep your shutter speed to 1/10 of a second, with an appropriate f / stop and ISO to compensate for the load order. If your camera has a sync at the back aperture setting, turn that on. This makes all objects appear in their true light and direction to move. When ambient light is inside and there, you can fill flash to illuminate your subjects. Point your camera at the dancers and follow them in the directionthey move. If you press the shutter button, swing dancers and continue to follow up is completed by your exposure. If you swing at the same speed, the dancers move, the background will appear blurred, while the dancers are in focus. If you are using a strobe light, the light is the dancers a good "stop action" to give effect to. The work is as a wedding photographer myself many opportunities to be creative. You can see some really funny and interesting pictures, if you master this technique. For more information please visit France Wedding Photography.
