High-Protein Dog Biscuit Recipe

Pets
Why are proteins so crucial and why should we continuously take them into consideration in our dog biscuit recipes?

Protein has to be the principal aspect of any diet plan as it makes possible the continuous growth and development of a range of key systems such as the immune system. Amino acids are absorbed as protein and they are the most important element of this nutrient. A deficiency in any of the amino acids can result in critical illness.

Dogs need up to 21 amino acids, 11 of which they are able to produce on their own. It is up to the owner to provide, through a healthy diet and with the proper food, the remaining amino acids. These indispensable amino acids are valuable to the wellness of your companion.

It is not satisfactory that the dog food you purchase has some protein source. A protein diet program for dogs must consider the high quality of the proteins in order to really ensure that the dog is receiving the quantity needed and that those proteins can be used by the animal. The quality of protein is related to the biological value, with an egg as the highest value at 100.

To put this in perspective, ground beef has a 78 in biological value with meat and bone meal at 50.

With this in mind, it is secure to say that treats with beef, in contrast to the vague meat and bone meal, are much better in protein quality and will have the ability to deliver more amino acids that the dog necessities and could use.

If you are searching for a much healthier option to prepackaged dog food, and you want to be 100% sure of what your dog is eating, here you can find a varied assortment of self-made dog food and dog biscuit recipes for dogs with very different requirements (i.e. low-fat dog food, high-protein dog food, low-calorie dog foodand many others).
