Even if you are doing so simply because you have a personal preference for some other design, then saying so would reassure the web developers that you are not simply rejecting their ideas without due consideration. Compromise is also an important element of any working relationship, so you should have a clear idea of which website issues are a priority for you and which you can afford to give way on. Website developers often have their own ideas on how to set up a website and are specialized at doing so in a particular manner. Sometimes, ordering that they disregard their own preferences in favor of yours could disadvantage you because the web page designers are unfamiliar with the skills necessary to execute the project in the way that you are demanding them to.
