Khandagiri & Udayagiri:

These towns are located nearly 8 km. from city center of Bhubaneswar. These places are really good to visit because of its important Jain Heritage. These caves were used as a cloister which serves tired visitors. These caves have some very essential natural things that were belonged to Raja Kharavela.

Dhauli Giri:

This is place where the war of Kalinga was combated. The King Asoka set up several Mauryan carvings and sculptures. These sculptures distributed the message of non-voilance and kinship. These edicts are reserved very well.

Cuisine:

Bhubaneswar is famous for sweets and seafood. Fresh crabs and Lobsters taken from Chilika Lake are sold every morning at the local markets along with various kinds of meat, fish, fruits and vegetables. Rasgulla, Rasabali, Chhena Poda, Chennajhilli are some of the famous sweets as well as spicy fast food like local Cuttack chaat and "dahi bara-aloo dum" are also very famous. There are a various restaurants which are famous for South Indian, North Indian, Chinese, Continental, Thai and Mexican cuisines. Traditional Oriya food such as Dahi-Pakhal are deliciously famous for local. Some other culinary delight is the "Mahaprasad" from the Jagannath Temple, Puri and the Abadha of Lingaraj Temple and Ananta Vasudeva Temple in Bhubaneswar. Besides that, a lot of temples have now started giving "prasad" for devotees on daily basis and some of them are ISKCON Temple, Shani Temple at Vani Vihar Square and Kali temple at Baramunda. Bhubaneswar is also famous for its famous Khhaii which are made up of paddy, jaggery and coconut pieces. Also famous are the various peethas like Chakuli Pitha, Manda Pitha, Podo Pitha, Haladi Patra Pitha, Arisa Pitha, Enduri Pitha and Kakara Pitha.

Transport Facilities: Roadways:

It is well connected by roads. There are many national highways which link this city to rest of the India with Bus Booking .

Railways:

The Bhubaneswar Railway Station is one of the leading railway stations of India. It is located in the center of the city.

Airways:

Flight Tickets Biju Patnaik Airport is the Bhubaneswar's Airport which is only the Domestic Air Tickets in the city.

Bhubaneswar is the capital city of one of the state in India, Orissa. It is the biggest city of Orissa after Cuttack. It has come to an being since 3000 years back. Today, this city is the economic center of the State of Orissa. Bhubaneswar is best-known for its temples so it is also called as 'Temple of India'. This city has approximately 600 temples including both small and big temples. These temples give a glance of its affluent 3000 year old inheritance. The city has many forests all around it and hence it is proportioned as the most green and cleanest city after Chandigarh.

Tourist places in Bhubaneswar: Lingaraj Temple:

This is a temple dedicated to "Lord Shiva", the Hindu god. This temple was made around 10th or 11th century. This temple has been represented as the genuine merger of reality and dream. This temple has 55 meter of Vimana known as structure corresponding to aircrafts and has a number of sculptures which cover its aboveground. This temple is the holy place for most of the Hindus all over the world. It is considered fortunate to visit this temple before visiting Jagannath Temple for Rath Yatra.
