This is your self-mastery training meeting to share whatever is on your mind. As I shared in my prior article, self-development is the ability to lead oneself, and if we can not follow ourselves, then how can we lead others? Why would a person want to follow us if we can't follow ourselves? And what do we mean by following ourselves. Self-will is that ability, that will, that inner strength to drive ourselves forward, follow our own self-directed instructions, even when we don't "feel" like it or want to. As my friends say "that's BIG BOY" stuff. In my path towards developing self-leadership and personal growth, I've come to realize that the discipline to do the things I want to do for myself, those things that only I can do for me, can be very challenging for me at first. For example, I wanted to write this platform everyday, but I realized that my "discipline muscle" to do this is very weak. See I realized that discipline is like a muscle that needs to be worked for it to get strong. Therefore, if I follow my willpower for a day or two, but fall short the 3rd day, then my discipline muscle stops growing. That is what happened when I began writing the self-mastery coaching get-together. So I said to myself "self - you need to delve back on track writing this personal development mentoring platform." Then I reread by prior get-together and remembered what the starting point for all happiness was. As told by all the success leaders I have ever read, it is the Passion, Burning Desire, Motivation to achieve my goals, that will push me to develop the discipline I need to make it. That's when I learned that I must be vigilant in reading my mission, vision and especially my goals first thing every morning. This willpower help to fuel my power to do the things I may not want or feel like doing, but are the very things I believe willpower lead to my prosperity.
