How To Have the Best Tuscan Kitchen Designs

Interior Design
A Tuscan-inspired kitchen has a homey and earthy ambience. The design exudes a feeling of comfort and warmth. The walls, furnishings, and floors have rich colours that are common in Renaissance paintings and artwork. Those who want to have this type of design for their kitchen should choose the perfect colours that would help them achieve the desired Tuscan look. Moreover, there should be Tuscan elements in the kitchen such as terra cotta, natural wood and stucco. The following are some fabulous ideas on how to create an authentic Tuscan kitchen design.

1. Choose a colour palette for the floors and walls.

Several items for the best colour combination include a painted platter, a Renaissance-inspired tile, or a colourful table napkin or cloth. The ideal colours for this motif are cream, orange, gold, and various shades of green. For a layered look on the walls, sponging and colour-washing paint treatments may be applied. A matte finish can also add a rich effect on the bright-coloured walls.

2. Consider using contrasting colours for the walls.

Contrast is a common quality in Tuscan kitchens. One wall may be painted with deep red colour, while the other portion of the wall may have a cream hue. This combination will add an interesting appeal to the room without creating an eyesore or intensity. Rich colours may also be used on the narrow edges of the windows and doors. For an exquisite effect, refinish these areas with clear lacquer of honey-coloured wood stain.

3. Use warm and mellow lighting.

The room should be well-lit, yet with a mellow ambiance. Yellow or warm light is perfect for use. The gentle brightness matches the typical glow of a Tuscan field even during the winter season.

4. Use terra cotta floor tiles.

The best type of terra cotta tiles is the Mediterranean style because of the excellent choices of shade. Deep orange, brown, and creamy gold colours are the ideal options for a Tuscan kitchen designs . For those who have wooden floors, they may strip and stain the floor to blend with the wooden trim design of the doors and windows.

5. Add some furnishings to the kitchen.

Shelves made from rustic wood should be positioned above the stove. These shelves are excellent for displaying copper pots and platters with bright hues. For a country appeal, strings of garlic may be attached to the shelf brackets. Fresh herbs such as basil, rosemary, and oregano placed in terra cotta pots can also add to the homey ambience of the kitchen. These pots may be lined on the counter top or near the windows.

It is also typical in Tuscan kitchens to have a large, wooden table where everyone can enjoy home-cooked, hearty meals. Several wooden chairs with various shades can be set around the table. There should also be large vases with wildflowers that could be placed on the centre of the table.

These fabulous ideas can give your kitchen a comfortable and relaxing ambience. The use of bright colours on the walls, wooden furnishings, and earthy designs can bring out an authentic Tuscan kitchen design.
