There is a time of ultimate challenge in the life of every man. A time when life would seem unfair, a time when your faith, value, patience, compassion and your ability to press forward are pushed to the wall. A time when all your resources to live the life of your dreams are put to test. But rather than allowing the experience to weigh your hopes, goals and aspiration down, you should use it as opportunity for growth. A lot of live have been rendered useless without meaning all because of unpleasant situations they have experienced in their lives. Such people fail to take life head-on. They fail to encourage themselves and eventually raise the white flag of defeat. Have you not heard of people committing suicide just because they fail an examination or because they are jilted? What an irrational decision! Such people fail to realize what tomorrow holds in store for them; they lack the knowledge that they can turn such misfortune and disappointments into stepping stones for greatness. Isn’t Yinka Aiyefele enough inspiration? Nobody knew him until he had that accident that made him crippled. Today, Yinka Aiyefele is a symbol of hope. Rather than becoming a burden unto others, he encouraged himself and rose above that unfortunate incident. As a matter of fact, he used his misfortune to stir up the sleeping giant inside of him. He is an excellent composer and musician and his music has taken the entire world by storm. All he did was to realize that there is indeed a hero inside of him. Aiyefele believes his been disabled should not be a disability. You too can rise above whatever challenges in your life and live the life of your dreams. I have come to realize that nothing worthwhile comes easy. No pain no gain says the popular saying. Challenges, difficulties, trials and problems are inevitable on our way to greatness but how we react to all of these is what makes the difference. For gold to come out shinning, it must pass through fire. For your goals, dreams, desires and aspirations to actually come alive, they must be tried and tested. Whatever be your case, I challenge you that it is your choice. It is your choice because you have the capabilities and the potentials to change your world.
