Is mycoplasma a factor that cause male infertility?

Advice,Fitness,Health

Mycoplasma is not an unacquainted factor that cause male infertility. It widely spreads in nature, among those which can threaten human beings can be concluded as ureaplasma urealyticum, mycoplasma hominis and mycoplasma pneumoniae. In fact, ureaplasma urealyticum and mycoplasma hominis mainly infect genitourinary system through sex. While mycoplasma pneumoniae infects respiratory system. So, what's the relationship between mycoplasma and male infertility? And how is male fertility affected by mycoplasma infection?

mycoplasma mainly invades epithelial cells of the genital tract but not enter blood. However, mycoplasma can be transmitted from the mother to her baby in the process of giving birth. Therefore alot of people are born with mycoplasma in genital tract. As people grow older, mycoplasma in genital tract rapidly reduced. It is reported that mycoplasma (in genital tract) isolation rate is close to zero during their puberty. However, after intercourse, this rate can gradually ascend higher and higher. That is to say, men are possible to carry mycoplasma, the key factor is intercourse. Mycoplasma is almost impossible to cause infection if intercourse doesn't happen, in this case, mycoplasma can not hurt men, not to mention the male infertility. Only when mycoplasma causes infection that is severe and is able to threaten genital tissue function can male infertility.

Incidence of mycoplasma will highly increased after a men start to have sex life. Urinary tract infection occurs when mycoplasma infects urethra. While when it infect prostate, some enzymes in prostate secretion can be destroyed. Actually, this enzymes can facilitate semen liquefaction, which benefits to motility of sperm. When this enzymes increases, liquefying time prolongs and leads to poor sperm motility. Consequently, male infertility comes into being.

What's more, uncured mycoplasma infection can extend to testicle, which is a premonitor of testitis orchitis and male infertility. As we know that testicle is the place where sperm come from, when testicle is infected, spermatogenic cell is accordingly damaged, rate of teratosperm becomes higher. Thus, eggs are difficult to be fertilized. Clinical observation shows that in infertile men who are caused by testicle orchitis, the rate of teratosperm can reach 80 percent. Besides, mycoplasma can bring about male infertility through directly disturbing sperm motility. Particularly, mycoplasma is able to adhere on the head and tail of sperm, which obstructs sperm motility.

In sum, pathological changes of reproductive system and decreased sperm motility are main causes of male infertility which caused by mycoplasma infection. Positive attitude of receiving mycoplasma infection treatment is propitious to prevent male infertility. Diuretic and Anti-inflammatory Pill is an effective medicine to treat mycoplasma, which is characterized by its effective in treatment, without any side effect and recovery within three months.
