Hair transplant surgery guarantees effective outcome giving you the naturally implanted hair on your head. The pre surgery conditions and post operation conditions must be fully met to get the best and maximum results. Just after the hair transplant surgery is over, you are allowed and free to go home and take rest. You can take off your head band kind of bandage around your head the next morning. Though you are suggested to place your head on an elevated pillow and you can also take antibiotics and pain killers, as prescribed by your hair transplant surgeon. The first thing you must do in the morning is to get rid of your head band and take a shower and shampoo your hair thrice, but only for this time. The feel of having hair n your head covers up all the other misfortunes, if any. The moment you touch your scalp the existence of hair grafts is exciting leaving you blissful at the same time. You can also consult your doctor about the bandage or other medication if something goes wrong, but the chances are few and far between. For the next whole week you will be advised to take shower twice everyday gently cleaning off the transplanted area with the special medicated prescribed shampoo from your doctor. The FUE hair transplant ensures the grafts to snug firmly into the recipient areas so the grafts won’t ever be dislocated by shampooing or the flow of water. You can get back to your daily routine of shampooing and brushing your hair after a period of two weeks. You can also go and get a haircut if you feel up to it. By this time, the implanted hair grafts are fixed into your scalp making their permanent place there. By four weeks, you can even dye your hair and apply the color you want to have on them. It all depends on the laxity of your scalp and the type of hair transplant procedure you have endured. It is advised to abstain from smoking and drinking and non alcoholic drinks are preferred for a period of 10 days. Moreover exposure to direct sunlight is also prohibited and a sun screen with SPF 30+ is recommended. Also refrain from strenuous exercise right after the hair transplant . Visit your doctor once or twice within 10 days at post operation, if inconvenient you can also call and get follow up.
